Making mead!
These jars are quality thick glass paired with high quality silicone seals. They included spares on the silicone seals and an extra airlock which is nice as a backup. This set has all the parts you need to mechanically hold your mead, if that's what you're making. Of course for fermenting you also likely need to buy a yeast and nutrient separately.The wide mouth makes cleaning these out a breeze. I also ran it through the dishwasher and put the plastic parts on the top rack. That's probably not recommended but it worked out fine for me. The airlock fits nice and snug in the lid.I'm making mead but these jars should be fine for all kinds of different fermentation. I think 1 gallon is a great size as it's manageable and doesn't requite a huge effort to move it around as needed. As a potential tip a tiny bit of Food Grade Silicone Lubricant on the silicone ring that seals to the jar will make it operate more smoothly (but it's not needed).

Sturdy glass and makes great Mead and Wine!I have used these for 5 or 6 batches of mead and plum wine and they are easy to handle, easy to clean, and thanks to their short, wide stature, easy to store out of the way!

Great jar/carboy! Just used for a 1 gallon batch of mead. Works great. The small base and tall size fits great in my brewing area.

Change Carriers
The product is great. This is my second purchase. The second purchase, they changed carriers to the Post Office. They did not deliver, it wouldn't fit in my mailbox. So I had to go out of my way down to the Post Office to receive it.

High quality, solid
These are very high-quality glass jars, and I got them for fermenting vegetables at home. The weight of the glass that they are made from feels substantial - I have no worries about durability whatsoever. Value for the price felt good, especially considering the included airlocks, which are a must for fermentation. Overall very happy with these and I use them all the time.

Great fermenter
Works as it should, comes with everything you’d need to ferment and being tall and skinny it takes up less space on the floor than a 1 gallon carboy. Lid seals well and has held up for multiple brews.

Great starter for fermentation
