I have two young children who get up in the night for the toilet, struggle to find the lights (often calling out for help in the middle of the night) and leaving them on when they do. Since getting this light, they can come out of their bedrooms, the sensor reacts very quickly from the other side of the hallway and illuminates the bathroom and hall allowing safe passage.Initially, I thought that it was a shame not being rechargeable but on reflection, it means that I can have multiple sets to swap with so that I am never in a position where its run flat and can't be used until recharged and gives me the option to use normal batteries if I have forgotten to charge the spare set.The main light has a metal back and sits in the magnetic base which comes complete with a sticky pad and screws and can be rotated through 180degrees.
