I believe Wera dose make a ratcheting unit that has a removable shaft but this isn't it. **Q: what is the torque rating? how much can the bits and the ratchet take...** A: I wouldn't use any ratcheting screwdriver for heavy-duty work, not even my Snap-on ones. For anything requiring a lot of torque, I would much sooner use a conventional screwdriver β€”or, better yet, a 3/8" ratchet handle with socket screwdriver bits.Anyway, the Wera Kraftform Kompact Ratchetting screwdriver is really only suited for light to medium-duty use. **Q: does it use standard bits or are they proprietary?** A: The bit holder accepts standard 1/4" drive bits.
