Maskal Teff, Grain Teff Brown, 14 Ounce

This was my first time buying teff. The taste to me is very neutral which can be a good thing because you can flavor it to your own liking. To me I didn't get much of a nutty flavor that others reported. I usually add in a scoop or two to my morning oats/quinoa fruit bowl mix. The texture of teff by itself is very unique if I had to think of something I would say imagine grits or polenta but a bit more earthy. If you're vegan or vegetarian this seems to be a great way to get more protein into your diet. I could also see this being good in soups and veggie burgers. Teff is also reported to be high in fiber, vitamin C, and iron.

Perfect size for us. The taste is fresh and that makes it a good value for the money

Hard to fine and good porridge and baking bread.

I had never tried Teff so I ordered some. Took a while to get but when it did arrive, I cooked some up by package instructions. I can’t say it was bad, but neither my wife or I liked it…think “Cream of Wheat” texture. I’ll do some experimenting & maybe cut some quinoa or kashi buckwheat into the product.

A little different. Don't really like it by itself, but dumping some into a pot of boiling Royal Blend Rice about halfway through, adds some heft and texture to the mix and makes the dish more filling and satisfying

First this was delivered and packaged as described. Second it is simply delicious 😋. It has an nutty earthy taste. I like to make a small bowl for breakfast with a little honey on top, so good. Besides being delicious, it's packed with protein!

This grain, teff, is said to be superior to wheat and even quinoa. I put a 1/2 tsp or more in my morning cereal of whole grains.
