I stand in front of the sensor (about 2ft) and bam! It turns on my LED strips letting me see my shoes. As long and it senses movement it stays on but shuts off after a few minutes of inactivity. I will definitely buy more for other ideas around the house Review: These work with the the Torchstar lighting system. They're plugged right in between the power supply and the switch. I did have to shave back some of the socket housing a bit so that it would be a snug fit. You no longer have to take the back off to adjust the time setting as they put a hole in the back for you to get to the potentiometer. I didn't realize that and thought the potentiometer was a screw to take the back off. I'm sure I broke it. That was user error. But it still works very well. The motion sensing part does not work at all and the voltage input is not the same as the voltage output. I put 12VDC on the input and got 2 VDC out which, powers nothing. I sent this back the same day I received it.
