Completely useless
The area for butts is not large enough, so I cannot put my cue inside the bag. I throw it right away

Good nylon soft case, plywood hack to stiffen it up
I was carrying two 2x2 hard cases, so decided to upgrade to a 4x4. This says it's 4x5 but not sure where the 5th shaft is supposed to go, I only see 8 slots. But I just have 4 cues so works for me. The bag is nylon, seems pretty sturdy and has held up well under almost a year of daily use. The zipper is smooth, no sticking so far. Comes with 2 sewn-in backpack style straps, and a separate single strap (which I don't use). There's a nice padded mesh back. 2 large pockets and one smaller pocket, holds all of my stuff with ease (towels, gloves, chalk, extension). The part that holds the cues is sewn-in stretchy bands, and holds the cues firmly. But you need space to slide the cues in and out if laying flat. You could do it vertically but then you can't open the case fully or see the slots. This is a soft case so sometimes I worry about my cues when case is standing vertical, but I found a solution. On the mesh back there is an opening to store the straps, and I was able to fit a quarter inch thick piece of plywood in there, giving the case rigidity. The plywood is 4.5 inches by 24 inches. Now the case stands vertically like a charm. This case does have a logo of an 8-ball on it, and I don't play 8-ball so I could have done without the logo, kinda reduced the charm of the case for me.
