But the company making them might be able to add that as a feature. **Q: Has this system been tested/measured and certified by any labs or universities? There is no information about that on their website.** A: Not sure. You would have to contact the manufacturer. I will tell you we manual time also and everything is always close. **Q: Can a user select different distances for timing? For example, a 30 or 60 yd dash?** A: There's no need to select your distance, you can simply put the start and end unit any distance apart you like and it will time the athlete. For example, you could put them 60 yards apart, run that, then pick one unit up and move it in 30 yards and then immediately run a 30. Move it in 20 more yard and run a 10, then move it 30 out and run a 40. The units are wireless and gateless too, so you can get very creative with where you put them and time all sorts of drills. Thanks for your question! **Q: Since there is only one sensor at the start and one at the finish, if someone walks in the distance in the direction of the sensor will they trip it?** A: The sensors' detection distance can be adjusted so that only athletes running within a certain distance of the sensor will be detected. For example, if you set the detection distance to 2 feet, someone walking 3 feet in front of the sensor won't be detected. Both the start-position unit and the end-position unit can be adjusted individually to suit any environment you're in. And it is amazing. It took me a few minutes to figure out how it works, but once I did , it became a breeze to set up and operate. It works extremely well, and provides spot on, reliable times. I mainly use the 2-way sensor setting to time my kids in the 40 yard dash, but it has a number of other timing settings. It really is a useful system for a lot of different running events.The only issue I have run into is that the two units (start and end units) do not communicate very well when the tri-pods they are on are lowered to the lowest level. The ground apparently interferes with their ability to communicate via Wifi. However, there's no compelling reason to have them set up on the lowest level of the tri-pods, and once you raise them up to a higher level, there are zero communication issues.I also had an email exchange with Ryan of Position Fitness about a few things, and he was fantastic. He responded within an hour or so and provided great feedback. Excellent customer service from Position Fitness.Long story short, if you are looking for a quality laser timer system, this one is it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great product at a really great price *by G***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2017* I was looking for a timing system to time athletes in the 40 yard dash and pro agility drills that did not cost a $1000 or more. After doing a search on Google I ran across this unit. I continued my research and also ran across this system on Amazon that looked very promising. I was able to contact the company and after some very prompt replies decided this system could work for me. I use it to get accurate timing to set a baseline for performance training. I believe you cannot improve performance if you cannot measure it. I find hand timing yields inconsistent results and this system provides the accurate repeatable results that I needed. I have only had it a week, since it is a new product. But I have used it for cardio sprinting timing, Illinois agility test, 5-0-5 agility test, three-cone shuttle test, four corners test, and the T test. All with great results. I really like the random start delay, it keeps my athletes on their toes for reaction time. Instead of the usual ready, set, go. My athletes like it also, because with hand timing it is easy to mess up a good run stopping the clock early trying to be too precise or stopping it late because your mind wondered.
