That tightens it back up for the original snug fit. I'm not so active that it needs any more frequent washing. Doing so means this brace lasts about a year and then I replace it. For the price, this works for me. **Q: Does this come in an XL size? I’m not those and I ordered a medium one. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant support *by A***R on 29 January 2026* This is a brilliant support for my knee, it’s the second one I’ve brought,well worth the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product. make sure about the size *by L***R on 11 July 2017* Good product.make sure about the size.It streches after use.keep that in mind too ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good support for torn ligaments and getting back to training *by B***3 on 1 March 2018* This seemed too tight when I first got it but my knee was still swollen from ACL and MCL tear... once MCL had recovered and it had all calmed down a bit, this support was really helpful in providing the support I needed to start training again. If I was looking for general support for running or sport, rather than having an actual knee injury, I would look at a less restrictive support. Being fairly tight, it provided good support, confidence and has not lost elasticity over time. I don't wear it when just walking around - had another support with more strapping for that which was more comfortable. I just wore it when training or working and need something that was going to hold up under more pressure. Don't need it now as have reached a better stage of recovery but this was v helpful at the time. It has the flexible metal down the sides that you will really need if you have bust your knee up. It was a bit tight around the knee hole though so that's why I'm not giving 5 stars - but all bodies being different, it would be hard to get perfect. I got small which worked well on my skinny lady legs!
