I like that it is a simple music instrument that you do not need any directions on how to use it. I also like that it has the bass that was added as another feature with the drums. I just got this item today and so far this is fun to play with! The sounds are bass synths that can be changed from low to high, and the electronic drums tempo can be changed with the turn of the tempo knob. The stylus is ideal, which is attached by a wire to the beat instrument. And the metronome can be used to keep the drums in the same beat. There are also 2 additional functions, which is the patrn and the trnsp. This gives the option of making the song longer and giving it glitch and filter effects too. The instrument box itself is plastic, however, it is still durable. There is the volume scroll knob and the on and off switch on the side of the box, and it also has a headphone output too. There is also an indicator light that shows that the box is on, which is the color red. As for the age range, this can be used for a 7 yr. old kid to a senior citizen that is a musician. It is because of the semi-sharp stylus that I would not recommend for kids under 7 to use for safety wise. I am a musician and I bought this to see if it can be used for music and it definitely can! It is affordable and the sounds are beautiful! I plan to buy more of the Stylophone products in the future.

This thing is amazing!! So much fun! Within literally seconds you can make a layered beat any style you want from techno to rock to hip hop. Nothing to download, nothing to cue up. Don’t like where the beat is going, just flick it off then flick it back on, BAMM you got a clean slate to start fresh! I am a hip hop head from the days of way back who always wanted to mess around making beats but I know little about how. This allows me to jump right in, great job guys!! Maybe one day there will be a wireless stylus upgrade, other than that bravo!

It's limited but it is a lot of fun to mess around with, cool little beat maker. I like to make beats and play guitar over it, works great for messing around or writing at home.

I wish they would've put some better samples of acoustic and maybe linn drum too. I don't like the beatbox option at all, toss that out. But for my intended purposes it works as an upgrade to a metronome click whilst jamming on guitar on the couch. Instructions are kinda hard to understand, so watch the YouTube video n save yourself time! All n all, I still think it's cool for what it is, and worth the purchase. You CAN definitely put some cool beats together with a synth bass line on the go. I think that's the best thing ever to help inspire ideas, or just keep you occupied on a long car ride! .....or both lol. Great on batteries too!

First night with it an having so much fun i can't sleep. As a drummer and songwriter, this is the best musical sketchpad and with just a few taps and less than an hour of practice I've already this brilliant gadget pumping out catchy beats with bass lines. Limited to 8 bar loops but appears to have loop storage and track mute, fade, transpose, and tons of other features. I have barely scratched the surface and already am stunned at the capabilities held within this little device. I can not speak highly enough of what they have created here. There is more value per dollar in this tiny electronic instrument. It is a sequencer, looper, drum machine, bass synth, and basically a mini audio workstation that fits in a cargo pant pocket. This simple yet sophisticated electronic musical instrument is inspired. Musically curious kids of all ages will be delighted by this, and I plan on giving this as a gift to my neices, nephews, and musical friends. If 6 stars were an option, the Stylophone Beat would get 6 stars from me. Bravo, Stylophone, bravo. Please note: I am using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm aka headphone to headphone cable to connect the Beat to a nice small speaker with very good bass and low end. It makes a world of difference. Happy to share make and model if they send me free stuff ;)

Pas de mémoire interne et c’est parfait pour ce genre d’instrument lowfi. Les possibilités multiples au cours de l’enregistrement compense l’absence de mémoire interne. Parfait pour s’amuser et jouer sans prise de tête.
