But for the money, what can you expect? You'd probably pay more for the timber alone.It's basically: 5 bits of wood forming the frame; a small fifth leg; slats spaced out with stapled tape; a small bag of fixings and a tiny, badly photocopied schematic of how it fits together. But for anyone who's done anything like this before, assembling is straightforward: the holes are pre-drilled (except for the screws holding the fifth leg in place) and the end bits pre-assembled. There are no fixings for the slats so I used a few double sided sticky tabs to hold them in place while getting the mattress into position. It seemed to work.When complete, you have a sturdy, no-nonsense, untreated pine bed-frame. The mattress is securely held by end and side pieces. The fifth leg was probably added after someone really really heavy managed to compromise the slats and/or the central stretcher. Or maybe some kids used it as a trampoline.As far as I'm concerned, this bed is darn good and should do me for quite a few years.If you're thinking of buying, make sure you look at the measurements, as - compared with many others - this bed is pretty low. That was a selling point for me as it would tuck up under some windows. However the clearance is high enough so's you can store shoes and stuff underneath. My cat has already discovered it's a good place to lurk.And - another consideration - once the mattress is in place there's little or no headboard, but that could be easily remedied by fixing a few planks (or something like an old coffee-table top) in place. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can't quibble at this price... *by L***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 January 2018* Really, if you went out and bought the timber yourself, you'd not get a lot of change from the cost of this..The drilled holes are a little rough, and needed a little clearing out with a blade; and the instructions are no more than an exploded view of the assembly - but the fixings and dowel positions are self explanatory: Just make sure to push the steel cross-dowels in their holes with the flat-blade screwdriver slot visible, and in line with the hole for the screw.There is an extra 'foot' added, which is not shown in the instructions, but is clearly intended to be screwed under the middle cross-spar; it seems like an afterthought, and was obviously an added to improve the strength on the double bed option. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value bed frame. *by G***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2016* Good value for money. I wanted a frame that I could work with so I stained it and made a scrap wood headboard, and it now looks pretty good.It arrived very quickly and the seller communicated immediately (10 mins!) putting my mind at rest because another buyer had been delivered the wrong size. I really recommend this bed frame, it's strong, sturdy and easy to put together in an hour.
