(the queen bed was built sideways to save space) The tent is sitting on a 14 inch mattress with a 3 inch memory foam topper and fits good and snug. I put it together myself but it would’ve been helpful to have someone else available. I’ve included a video. I wish there was an opening on both sides of the longer walls, instead of both sides of the shorter walls (3 openings total). Other than that, my daughter loves it. It is quite big and took a lot of room to get the poles in, but once it's up it's a cute getaway for my 10-yr old daughter. Now my son wants one for his bed. Sturdy material, keeps heat in very well, nice zippers.
