I lost the original remote for my Denon AVR-2312 during a move, and I quickly discovered just how dependent these receivers are on having the correct remote. While the front-panel controls let you access some basic functions, many of the receiver's most useful settings and features are difficult or impossible to use without a compatible remote. Before finding this replacement, I tried a couple of other remotes that claimed to be compatible. Unfortunately, they either didn't work correctly or failed to access all of the functions I needed. I was starting to think I would never regain full control of the receiver. Everything changed when I tried this bad boy. The remote worked right away and restored virtually all of the functionality I had been missing. I was finally able to navigate menus, adjust settings, switch inputs, and use the receiver the way Denon originally intended. The buttons are responsive, the layout is familiar, and it performs exactly as I hoped it would. The best part is that it saved me from having to replace an otherwise perfectly good receiver. The AVR-2312 is still a great piece of equipment, and this remote allowed me to continue getting the most out of it without spending hundreds of dollars on a newer unit. If you've lost your original Denon remote and have been frustrated by incomplete replacement options, stop searching. This remote solved the problem for me and brought my receiver back to life. An easy five-star purchase.

Worked right out of the box with the receiver and no setup.

Solid but not perfect function. Works OK with my Denon AVR-2112CI but not all the buttons function. Volume and power work great which is 98% of the use-case so good enough for now.
