Great product

This item was a replacement for one that broke as we were flat towing on an RV trip. We had the replacement shipped to the RV Park we were staying at for four days. The item came on time and worked perfectly. Thank you Amazon for the quick delivery in rural Kentucky.

I purchased this item 6 years and 1 month ago because of the Blue Ox reputation. The product is heavy duty and performed fairly well but I experienced some problems that surprised me. A couple of the terminals in the MH side of the plug were loose and the 12v power line in the toad side plug was not connected. Both issues caused some concern and took some time to trace as it was initially thought that the auto wiring was not nonprofit properly. Also, within the last 6 months, the rubber casing has been cracking and literally decomposing as others have reported (see picture). This has rendered the cable no longer usable. Knowing that the cable is exposed to the elements and experiences some pretty harsh conditions, I’m surprised that Blue Ox hasn’t come up with some better material for the casing. It’s still one of the better products based on sized and design but in my opinion, slightly overpriced based on the casing failure and wiring issues, both of which seem to be a common issue with other purchasers.

As long as you follow the proper connection guidelines for hooking up both female connecters that it plugs into, this cord works perfectly. Well made.
