Comfortable composite handle. External-mix design; the spraying medium is atomized outside of the tip, making this airbrush less prone to clogging, even when spraying highly viscous materials. Easy to adjust; simply twist the pre-installed, 0.8mm nozzle to increase or decrease the material flow. Especially suited for large areas or broad spray patterns between 1/4" and 2". Boxed set includes two 22cc glass bottles (one siphon-feed cover and one closed cover), a paint pipette and instruction sheet. Requires an air supply with a working pressure of 15 to 50 psi. For use without a compressor, a propellant-can regulator and a 5' hose are provided, both with M5 fittings to fit the M5 air inlet of the airbrush (propellant not included). It's very comfortable to use, although that spring may get tedious on really long sessions, but overall it's well worth the measly thirteen bucks I paid for it. I now own... let's see. Two cheap double-action brushes, one expensive double-actions, an expensive single-action pistol-trigger brush... all gravity-feed... and this little suction-feed sweetie. It's not siphon, it's suction. Siphon is a different concept. I bought an airbrush about fifty years ago that was almost identical to this one. Maybe a titch more chrome. I wish I still owned that one, but alas. Now I own another one similar to it so all's right in the world. Suction-feed single-action airbrushes like this are exactly what most of us are really looking for when we go looking for an airbrush. Very few among us really have any great use for double-action airbrushes... and even those people would be well satisfied with a little fancier single-action than this one, with a flow rate limiting knob on the back like my pistol-trigger brush has. These brushes make color changes instant; there's no fussing around with cleaning any internal mix apparatus, just drop the bottle, shoot a little water from your water bottle (or acetone bottle, if it's summer and you're outdoors - nothing can argue with acetone!), then plug in the next color and go. Color change in fifteen seconds easy. And cleanup? It's hard to make it any simpler than this. Under only the most extreme circumstances is there any need to disassemble any part of the brush, and then only the two-piece nozzle deally where you adjust the paint density. Which you can, of course, do "live", while you paint. The body of the brush always remains intact and complete. Worst case? Throw it in the trash and order another. It cost thirteen bucks, for the love of Pete. That's the price of two sit-down cheeseburgers. Oh, but scavenge what you can from this one in case you ever need parts. Needles? Forget 'em. Nozzles? Forget 'em. Needle protectors? Backflushing? Cranky index finger? Forget 'em. Go simple. True, you can't show it off to your buds to buy yourself cred... until they realize that you're painting like a champeen with a thirteen-dollar airbrush. Really. If you're a single- or double-action airbrush user, toss a few bucks at this. You have nearly nothing to lose. I love it when I can do good stuff on the cheap. 8) Oh, by the way... ? Yes. You CAN spray cheap acrylics from WalMart with it... and they DO work nicely. You have to learn how to thin them down for spraying, but... yes. You absolutely can do that.
