The red just looks like typical tail light accent.The only downside was That the lights were incompatible with my 2012 Ford Explorer Limited. I had to buy new wiring going to the lights and tear my SUV apart to install the wiring.So, if you own a later 2012 Explorer, be prepared for this. Apparently Ford only changed the wiring in these Explorers. 2011-early 2012, 2013 etc. are fine... just late year 2012s, lol.Whatevs, after all is said and done, the look amazing.
