This kit arrived as described with all of the parts and accessories in the box. I found it very easy to mount the kit on my second helmet and it works perfectly with my Cardo PACKTALK Edge Pro. The price was a bit less than I was able to find elsewhere, so I feel that I got a good value by ordering from Amazon. The speakers are larger than what is included with the comm device and does fit in the helmet properly and provides a better sound. This kit is just a secondary mounting kit and does NOT include the PACKTALK Edge communication device, which is sold separately. The adhesive that holds the receiver to my helmet has been through quite a few rides already and is still as solid as the day I attached it. Overall, this is a great second helmet kit that allows me to use the comm unit on multiple helmets without having to buy a complete second unit.

I have a similar setup on my full face, but needed something to use on my quick helmet. I found what I needed with this product. I have one of those German type old helmets the product mounted up top above the lip and fit on well. It was clean and worked. Don’t really need the boom mic, but since it comes with it, it’s on there. Even with it sitting higher than normal because of the lip it still reaches down to my mouth. I did angle it a tiny bit, but that works you can mount it anyway since it has the sticky back on it. The wires sticking out are a by product of the helmet and shape, but as long as it does the job it doesn’t bother me.

If you use your Edge in more active sports, and don't have an enclosed helmet (e.g., skiing), then this is a MUST-HAVE! The included mouthpiece and stem kit that comes with the Edge unit itself is sufficient. But, the adhesion method is very unreliable (adhesive and velcro). Eventually, the adhesive "triangle" that keeps the velcro pad that suspends the mic stem from the helmet will no doubt fail. This half-helmet kit that mounts both the Edge unit and the stem as a singular item, to the helmet. No additional wiring/mounting for that pesky mic stem that always fails (other than the 3.5mm plug for the earpads), and certainly no worrying about adhesives failing.

Mic does not stay in place at highway speeds. Also picks up wind noise when I talk. Update: contacted Cardo. Very quick response. Exchanged a few emails and they agreed to replace the half helmet kit. Excellent customer service.

Très pratique et de bonne facture, mais attention le micro est beaucoup plus long que le modèle indépendant qui se colle, la longueur le rend très souple… En revanche il fonctionne à merveille !
