It is extremely sturdy and well made. The frame is relatively easy to assemble but it helps to have 2 people to complete the task. There are multiple pieces and parts to put together, but it makes for a very strong and functional frame. The bed sits up high which provides space underneath to store things. I purchased a bed skirt to conceal whatever is under my bed and also to give the bed a more finished appearance. The queen mattress fits perfectly on the frame and does not need box springs for support. With my bedding the bed looks great! I purchased a vintage wood headboard to complete the look because that’s my style. But a headboard is not necessary if you prefer a simpler look and style.
