My shoe size is a women's 9, and the Large fit best! I passed them along to two others since I finished. They work especially well with dry ice (using thin cotton gloves & socks underneath), but regular ice/freezer is fine too. They have held up well. I removed the liners and hand-washed the fabric part after 6 chemos. I rotated 3 sets about every 30-45 minutes, using dry ice with a foil bag barrier, and had zero neuropathy!As far as the hat goes, it's comfy and held up well. Not washable because the gel is built-in. It keeps your head cool but I wouldn't expect it to prevent hair loss, especially with the harsher chemo regimens. (I used Penguin Cold Caps for that). I think it may help with scalp side effects and preventing severe follicle damage, using at home between treatments, or using in conjunction with other cooling methods.
