A Blue Heron loves my pond, rather the gold fish in the pond. I think these shiny bangles do something to keep him away. We've only seen him land a couple of times at the ornamental pond, but he regularly dines in the two wild ponds on our property. I can't convict the heron since we haven't caught him red-handed, but we lost >50 gold fish to predators one winter so we had to do something.... The motion sensor sprinkler was unreliable and got us more wet than anything. The Heron decoy won't stay upright. The photo shows the important measurement of size, not including the clips. They're easy to twist as much as you like. I LOVE the fact they're stainless and sturdy! I ordered some reflective owls and they turned out to be plastic with a reflective film that peeled off after a short time outdoors. I strung these on 100# monofilament across the pond in 3 places with 2 on each string. They're unobtrusive and we like the sparkles shining on the water.

So fun to watch birds, they swoop in and then they startle and fly away! Saves a lot on catfood

I would have given 0 stars if possible. Firstly, if you look at the pictures and watch the video, the items in those, according to the ad, are "mirror finish stainless steel." Ok, let me tell you what you'll actually be getting FOR $26!!!... 1. The ones I got were circular (not hearts). 2. They are smaller than the palm of my hand (which is completely incongruent with the pictures and video, which show something much larger than even a hand with fingers all extended). 3. They're PLASTIC! One of them broke the first night when the wind gusted (I was able to fix by replacing one of the plastic discs, but still!!!). 4. You get to build them yourself (It wasn't difficult at all, but for $26, you'd think they could at least put them together. Don't waste your money. The ONLY reason I am not returning them is because I bought them hastily because I needed them to put on our cabin to deter woodpecker while it's closed for the winter season, and I did not open them until we'd travelled 12 hours to our destination. Bottom line: I left them up, but I fully expect to not even be able to find them in the spring.

It not only scares birds away but it also frightens the bejeesus out of illegal aliens. Highly recommended!!

I was having a problem with a bird perching on the frame of my egg chair and pooping daily on the cushion. I read about these and decided to try. I put them up, they look nice and are quiet. I also temporarily put tin foil on the frame hoping I can remove it. Now I can enjoy my coffee on my clean egg chair.

seem to be working well so far! We had a few birds hanging out in the tree above our deck and pooping on the furniture and deck. no more of that now that we hung a few of these in the tree. Also use a couple on the Bimini top of the boat to keep the birds from doing the same there when the boat is parked. so far so good!

I bought these even after reading the mixed reviews as a garden decoration - have to say I love them, super cute!! They are metal - not plastic as some reviews say. They do come individually wrapped and you have to assemble (very easy) - I ignored the instructions from there haha and chose to remove all the middle hooks and string them together as one long chain with the little key rings in between and another hook at the end of the chain. I just have to figure out a way to rig the bottom into my garden (like a rain chain) so they won’t blow around but still individually twirl. I just got them so I don’t know how well they hold up to the weather yet. I don’t have a bird problem, so no comment there .

It’s not worth the money . Really only one long string. On windy days the connecting pieces fall apart. Regret keeping it
