I used to use Pirastro Gold strings on the instrument, but Pirastro raised their prices, so I went looking for a new brand. These are warm, responsive, and hold their tune very well. I play an average of 10-12 hours each week and these strings last a good long time before they start to lose their oomph and need to be replaced.
