Solid construction, lots of airflow, low noise
The listing for the flange mount 320 cfm fan states 12 watts of power consumption. This is incorrect. It pulls 9 1/2 amps at 12 vdc. The noise is reasonable for a fan this size providing this volume of air. The listing states ignition protected. The motor appears to be sealed to isolate the electrical from the environment so I believe it is. I set mine up on a bench test before installation. Connected to a 300 Ah battery and run for 24 continuous hours. The motor casing gets pretty warm but nothing alarming. I then connected the fan to a speed controller and run it at 2.2 amps down from 9.5 amps. As I write this, it has been running for 12 hours at the reduced speed. Test pasted. Now it's time to install in the boat.

More powerful than original blower. Less power draw. It is a bigger component so space should not be limited.

Good company to deal with
I don’t normally write reviews, but they saved my project with quick replacement turn around. The first unit had an issue (nothing is perfect, probably got dropped hard during shipping), but they sent a replacement unit as soon as I notified them. The second unit worked perfectly. I will definitely do business with them in the future.

Flange Mount? Try Flex Mount.
I ordered two of these thinking I was getting Flange Mounts as advertised. What was shipped to me were Flex Mount versions which I cannot use. So I returned the first two and agreed to have 2 more sent to me. Again, I received 2 Flex Mount versions. On all four boxes, the original UPC was marked out with a black marker and a label was added which said "Flange Mount". What was in the box was Flex Mount. So I'm returning all 4 and looking elsewhere.

Great power, works fantastic as a blower
I've added a large carbon air filter to the intake and run the fan for roughly 200 hours. It' keeps going. After adding the carbon filter, it's noise level has increased some so I created a box for it. Although, it's got a good deal of power for it's size - perfect for my application as a purified air intake. Thank you!

Not a 4 inch blower
One side of this blower is 4 inches and the other side is 6 inches. The description is not correct.
