**Q: Can you buy a replacement lid?**
A: We do have replacement lids available! Please call our customer service at 1-800-876-5520 to order.

**Q: What is the diameter and height, with lid?**
A: about 6.75 diameter at widest point x 9.5 high bottom to top of knob

**Q: How tall and how wide is it at its base and its handle sides?**
A: It is 8 1/4 inches tall and 6 inches wide for the crock. Add the lid and the height to the top of the knob is 10". The handle adds just under 1" on each side, so the total width is just slightly less than 8 inches. So overall mine is 8" wide and 10" tall.

**Q: Does the lid allow bugs in or out like nats?**
A: EVEN WITH THE FILTER, EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE LID, YOU CAN LET FRUITFLIES, GNATS, ETC. IN.

If you empty the crock every 3 days, the insect eggs laid there will not have time to fly out.  I add some folded dry paper towels at the bottom of the bag to absorb juices. The mostly I use this cannister for coffee grounds, banana peels, and dryer veggie scraps. If cut fruit goes in, the biodegradable bags I use will break open in 3- 5 days.
