The key worry when buying bulk beans is that they'll be dried out, but the description "Not Dry" is absolutely accurate. These are pliable and moist, with a fantastic, strong vanilla aroma that fills the air immediately when you open the bag. The 5.7 to 6.2-inch size is consistent and impressive for Grade B. For those interested in the ratio, I used 30 of these beans (split down the middle and cut in half for maximum surface area) with approximately 30 ounces of 80-proof spirits. After just a short time, the liquid is already turning a deep amber color, proving that the beans are full of rich vanilla oils and are already making a truly fine product.
