For those that gave it a one star rating because it only moved about 12", you need to read the directions. These rollers have pre-programmed up and down limits, and the default "down" limit is set somewhere around 12". It was very simple to program them for the correct down limit for my shades. These motors operate on 12-volts DC and a simple DPDT switch controls their direction. I bought these so I could use the switches already in the control panel in our motor home to operate them. I did not want to keep track of yet another remote just for these blinds. Customer service is excellent as well.
