Connected by a USB to your pc the weather station not only receives detailed forecasts over five days for town or city nearest to you but also uses an outside sensor to monitor local conditions. The weather station also has two alarms with snooze, a date display together with a 12/24hr display option and a calendar display. The weather station also has local indoor and outdoor temperatures in either Fahrenheit or Centigrade. The weather station also has wind speed and direction togther with a forecaster of 20 weather conditions. A rain predictor, moon phase, dew point and UV index are also included. Review: WS580 Weather Station - I`m really pleased with my purchase. It was delivered within the allotted time and was well packaged. No problem in setting up, very easy not really much to do, just need to enter your location and that`s it. Good display and easy to read, cannot fault it. I had a few questions as the manual is a little basic, i e-mailed the supplier who replied very quickly with answers, so excellent after sales. I wanted a weather station that gave me a five day forcast, clock, date, wind speed/direction, rain fall etc, but without the equipment to setup outside and that`s exactly what you get. It`s been an ideal purchase for me and for the price excellent. Review: Not recommended - Although delivered very quickly by desertcart, this device was disappointing to say the least. First of all, the plug supplied with the device was a two pin continental type which does not fit UK sockets. Secondly, the software disc was very difficult to instal and continually caused my computer to freeze. Attempts to uninstal the software therefore also proved difficult. (My operating system is Windows XP with which the software should have been compatible) Thirdly, there was no reply from the customer services number provided on the software disc. Fourthly, the icons and numbers on the display would not remain visible for longer than 10 seconds if batteries were inserted even when the device was being mains powered. Fifthly, the display was only visible when viewed from a downwards angle which prevented wall mounting above eye level.
