That’s specifically why I bought it. Works well. I do need to add some EQ and a speaker IR, which can be done in a modeler or your DAW. **Q: Do you get added sustain if you turn it up while recording to your DAW?** A: If you turn it all the way up, you're going to get distortion. To get more sustain, you'd need to invest in better pickups. **Q: will this handle a peavey 6505 plus 120 watt amp head on full volume gain and headphone level sound?** A: Peavey 6505 outputs no more power than other 100w amplifiers, so it's fine to use. Peavey merely claims 30 watts per tube when just over half of that is actually being used for sound output. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solves an issue a lot of us face *by M***N on 4 January 2021* I haven't written a review in about 10 years, but I will for this because it solves an issue that a lot of people face, and I was slightly concerned that this would suck tone. This is absolutely incredible. Similar to another user, I used this with the GGD Zilla IR pack. I did some test recording when it arrived yesterday, and recalled amp and pedal tones from a previous project I worked on as closely as I could from pictures I had taken, and matched the output level in my DAW so my ears weren't deceived.I used a 2x12 with Greenbacks and SM57 IR, which is the same speaker cabinet and mic configuration I used on my previous project. I re-recorded a passage from the project with the same guitar, amp and pedal that was used, and the tones are almost identical...
