Works great. Just used a little, and the ants were gone in the same day!

Easy to apply. Granules disperse from the bottom. Just carry around the lawn and shake on affected areas. Seems to be working.

First things first, these pellets work decently. The downside is that they 1) attract ants TO your perimeter for food and 2) aren't effective for very long. I think they're a little overpriced considering that you'll have to add more every three to four weeks to keep the ants at bay. In my opinion, the gels work a lot better, but folks with animals might not want to use those. The best option is to call an exterminator. They're expensive but worth every penny.

I live in Florida. Ants are an ongoing challenge and they are aggressive. This particular product is excellent. It was not evident to me at purchase but the bag itself also serves as the spreader. It has a built in handle and once you unzip the bag you can spread it slowly and evenly to ant hills and around the edge of your house or landscaping. Plus most importantly: it destroys the colony.

I have mixed feelings about this product. If you want to establish a shield around your home you must lay a 2 or 3 foot band around the whole perimeter of the building. That would probably require several bags of this product, so be prepared for a higher expense. Also if you have concrete butting up against your home such as a driveway, what then? It is made to spread on lawn and garden - not practical on slabs of concrete. Also, the top of the bag has a zip-lock feature to reseal and hold the product in the bag. Underneath the zip seal is a liner with holes perforated in it to allow the product to filter out the top (which actually becomes the bottom when the bag is held by the handle at the bottom - see picture) When you hold this handle and shake the bag the product falls out. Clever idea in theory. In reality, it has problems. First, the zip broke immediately on opening - yes, I carefully followed instructions. When you turn the product over to shake, it is really hard to see how much is coming out and virtually impossible to distribute the product evenly. If you want to do individual ant hills, you must hold the zip side open with one hand and shake with the other. Then, if you have product left over, you must find another way to seal it before storing, otherwise, you can not store it with the handle up or down. A design flaw. As for the product granules, if you disperse them evenly over the mound and water a few minutes later as per instructions, the mound does appear to die without reappearing a few feet away the next day as with some products. But, for the trouble, I can only give it 3 stars.

Bought to deter ants from summer place and within a day the ants were gone. Like the shaker bag with ziploc, easy to apply.

I only put this on my lawn about two weeks ago. I sectioned off part of my yard with 1' high fence edging and spread this within the area sectioned off. First I will have to say, it doesn't go as far as I thought it would. My entire lot is 75'x100' and this bag covered about 1/4 of the lawn. But I figured if it works, it's worth it for the price. I like the way the bag is the spreader. I spread it before a rain so it would soak in. Now it is two weeks later. The area inside the sectioned off area has no anthills. The area outside has a lot of ants. I just got my second bag and will spread it as soon as I see rain coming. I can't tell yet how many bugs this will get rid of... We have a lot of ants, earwigs, centipedes and spiders! So far I haven't seen any of these in the areas I've treated, and none have come inside the house on the treated side. I will update as the summer continues.
