Review: Excellent bulbs - trick to make it even better - Excellent look has worked so far so good. I do not care for the cylinder shape look that pretty much all of these types of LED flame light bulbs have. If you have a light fixture where you cannot see the bulb then you are golden, however, if you have a light fixture with clear glass it looks rather manufactured and fake. I unfortunately have 2 clear glass exterior light fixtures that I wanted to use these in. The trick I discovered in getting a more natural flame look is to cover the clear glass on the inside of the fixture (outside is okay to do too but has no protection from rain) with regular computer printer paper. Simply taping the paper to the inside or outside of the light fixture holds the paper in place. The flame effect then radiates through the paper and it looks many times better. I am going to leave the paper in the fixtures for my smart LED bulbs for Christmas. When Christmas is over I am going to remove the paper cut outs that were used to cover the clear glass and have them laminated for the same use next year.

However, Hudson stood by their product and replaced both bulbs, free of charge. Thank you to Hudson for their excellent customer service! Regardless of the original bulbs acting up, I would still recommend these bulbs. They have been great since getting the replacements, and not many places stand by their products like the folks at Hudson have done.

Excellent look has worked so far so good. I do not care for the cylinder shape look that pretty much all of these types of LED flame light bulbs have. If you have a light fixture where you cannot see the bulb then you are golden, however, if you have a light fixture with clear glass it looks rather manufactured and fake. This replaced my driveway pole lamp for use as a Christmas decoration. It is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE in its operation!!!! Never have i seen any electric light bulb that looks like a burning flame!!! Not just a single flame, but the lamp looks like more than one flame! It's unbelievable to look at it and think it's an electric light bulb!!! I'm 66 yrs old and retired electrician. If you want to have other style flame bulbs, buy this brand. If one looks this good, I'd be confident that all their lights will be as fantastic. Trust me me, get this brand. Merry Christmas!!! PS..... on my star rating, there was a brightness star rating. I gave a 2 because, it's not made for brightness, but a candle light flame not to light up the place!
