With this particular board, there is a connector with 1mm pin spacing on one side, and no connector on the 0.5mm spacing side. Connectors lock for a firm grip on an flat ribbon cable. Holes are numbered 1-6 on each side and are plated through. This might be significant if you need to mount the board on a conductive surface -- use some sort of insulator beneath the non-connector side. I made a project with one of these boards.
