Awesome mattress, 10/10 would buy again.
Absolutely love it! So I purchased the ZINUS 10 Inch Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress, Queen. To start of I’d recommend this mattress to family, friends and now even strangers on the internet, hi 👋. To start of, I was in a pinch and needed to upgrade my bed from a full to a queen while also being on a budget which isn’t easy. I don’t have a big vehicle either nor the time to go and check them out in person so I was taking a leap of faith since I had to buy it prior to trying it. Anyways, I can’t pass up a good deal, especially In this economy 😅 so i decided to just buy it. And for just about $200 I was able to get a whole new bed ! Yay. As usual it was a quick delivery and the box was very sturdy so it made moving it easy. After carefully opening it and giving it a couple hours to “rise and set” it was ready for a test. It’s soo comfy! The sides don’t dip down and it a great size ! After opening it and taking off the plastic I gave it a good sniff and I don’t think it smelled. Plus once you put fresh clean bedding on you don’t even notice the smell of heaven. Ooh in terms of firmness and support, I’d say it’s “firm” but, it’s like a plush firm that’s like a pillow. It holds you but also lets you sink in just a tad so you’re comfortable. So good back support. TLDR, Great price, very comfy, doesnt smell, easy set up, true to size, and it has a nice support.

Don't let the budget price fool you...
This mattress is surprisingly well-made. I had forgotten what it was like to get a good night's sleep until I bought the Zinus 10" Gel-Infused Hybrid Mattress. I've needed a new bed for a while now, but have been putting off the purchase because I didn't want to fork out the kind of dough I thought it would take to find a suitable replacement. Mattresses are expensive anyway, but I have "special needs" that make me have to look at the better than average choices. (I am overweight, and have an injury that is aggravated by pressure to my hip or thigh.) After yet another restless night, I decided it was finally time to go mattress shopping. Initial searches confirmed my fears about prices. Until, at some point during my Google research, an ad popped up for one of those bed-in-box brands and I went down a whole other rabbit hole. As a last ditch effort, I decided to research the cheap brands and was discouraged when they all seemed to be just memory foam. My sons have memory foam mattresses that they like, but I've never cared for their "dead" feel. Call me old school, but I like a little bounce in my mattress. What tipped the scales for me was when I found the hybrids. Still very reasonably priced, they offer the best of both worlds; springs AND memory foam. I was skeptical, but the reviews were encouraging, and I figured at this price point, I could always give the bed to a family member if it didn't work out. When the bed arrived, my 22 year old son carried the box in easily by himself, but if you aren't a young, fit fella you might want to get a hand moving it - it does have a Team Lift sticker on it. Please be careful opening this! It arrived vacuumed seal, rolled up in a heavy plastic bag - think giant popping biscuit can. We anticipated what would happen, so I cut the bag while he held it down, but it still got away from us a little at the end. It recovered quickly and was nearly completely fluffed within the first couple of minutes. My first impressions: 1. 10" inches is thicker than I imagined it would be. I had considered the 12" or 14", but I am glad I didn't - this is perfect. 2. The cover is very nice. It's soft and attractive. 3. The odor. While not overpowering, it was strong enough that I worried about sleeping on it. My concern was unnecessary though because by the time I was ready for bed five hours later, the scent was undetectable. After sleeping on it the first night: There is no sag like there is in many traditional spring mattresses. The support is firm but comfortable, with no pressure points. The sides are strong. I never got "stuck" like you do when memory foam takes a while to bounce back. I stayed as cool while sleeping as I have on any other mattress.I woke fewer times at night, and had fewer aches upon waking. I'm looking forward to going to bed tonight! To summarize: Even if this sold at a higher price point, I would still be satisfied. It's not a case that it's good for a cheap mattress, it's a good mattress period. If you are on the fence like I was, I would tell you to go for it!

Amazing and comfortable Mattress for the price- Just a few important things to know for ordering online
Awesome mattress but definitely pay attention to the heights of the mattress and READ everything including a bunch of reviews before purchasing! I had a spring mattress and was in search of a new mattress at an affordable price. I went into a bunch of mattress stores to test out different mattresses. I hate all memory foam mattresses but was surprised that the cool gel hybrid mattresses which included layers of foam and spring coils I knew that was what I wanted. I fell in love with the Leesa Mattress but could not afford the $1000 price tag. I did a ton of research on an affordable mattress like the Leesa and kept stumbling across this mattress over and over again. I was nervous about ordering a mattress online without trying it but skimmed a few reviews and decided to go for it anyway because of the amazing price. When i saw the comparison to the leesa it was actually for the 12 inch zinus mattress. I searched for the zinus mattress in the Amazon app on my phone and found it but it came up as 10 inch. I didn't realize that the height of the mattress determines the firmness. The 10 inch is the hardest mattress, the 12 inch is a medium firmness and the 14 inch is the softest. My husband measured our box spring mattress at 10 inch and thought the 12 or 14 would be too tall with our platform bed so ordered the 10 inch. The 10 inch for this mattress is about the same firmness as the 8 inch Casper mattress we tested out at a sleep number store. (If you want to test out a mattress in a sleep number store to get an idea of which level if firmness you like best! I think the 10 inch Casper is probably around the same firmness as the 12 inch Zinus). I definitely don't like a mattress that's too hard but can't sleep on one that's too soft either. The 10 inch was too firm for us with our Ikea brimnes storage bed using bed slats. We put the 10 inch in a guest room on the zinus platform bed frame which is a little more comfortable and now have the 12 inch our bed which is just the right level of firmness and is extremely comfortable with our Ikea bed! So if you have a platform bed and are using bed slats definitely go with the 12 inch! The biggest downside of the cheaper price is delivery. Ordering from a mattress store and having a bed delivered the mattress is usually brought in the house for you by the delivery people. The box from Amazon was left in the middle of our driveway when we were at work. The mattress is rolled up inside a very long and heavy box. My husband had to call a friend over to help him be able to pick up the box and get it into the house. Once we had it inside and opened it was completely ready to go in less than 2 hours so we were able to sleep on it that night! When we ordered the second 12 inch I had it delivered on a weekend when I knew my husband would be home. My husband and the delivery guy carried the box into the house together. I think its definitely worth the cheaper price because it seems like a really amazing good quality mattress! Just make sure you figure out delivery and getting the box inside the house ahead of time. My husband and I couldn't carry the box inside by ourselves. Its definitely VERY heavy. I couldn't imagine having to carry it up stairs in an apartment building or being able to get it inside if I lived alone! Overall still would absolutely order the 12 inch again. Our friend who has a Leesa mattress told me "This is just as comfortable as ours. We should have saved the $700 and gotten this one instead!" Thanks for a great product Zinus! (Ps I had a question so went on the Zinus website directly and called Zinus customer service directly and they were amazing! So even though you are ordering from Amazon the company is easy to reach and extremely helpful if you need to contact them with any questions or problems!)

I LOVE this mattress. My partner and I have been using the king size for a month now so I figured it was time to review! I tried to be as detailed as possible but I did put headings to make this a bit easier to read. Item Purchased: Brand: Zinus Size: King Height: 10” Type: Hybrid (memory foam and pocket coil springs) Special feature: Green tea cooling gel Who’s Using the Product? -Me (a plus-sized woman with chronic pain in her mid-thirties) -My fiancé (a slim man in good health in his mid-thirties) Price & Value: Extraordinary. The value for the money here is incredible. I’ve used mattresses that are easily quadruple the price that I could barely use - I presumed it was my chronic pain but nope, they were just bad mattresses. We’ll be replacing our spare bed with a Zinus mattress soon because they’re so good. Delivery, Packaging, and Setup: The mattress arrived in an impressively compact box that was relatively heavy but still easy enough to manage. If you have to go up a lot of stairs, it might be a good idea to have two people to carry it, but I was able to wrangle it myself. The box was easy to open and the mattress unrolled nicely on its own. There was no off-gassing or unpleasant smell for the 72 hours we left the mattress out to finish expanding, which was a pleasant surprise - I’m very sensitive to those smells and had planned on leaving the house with windows open but I could be in the same room with no issues. The mattress was mostly done expanding in under 24 hours, but since we had the space we figured we’d leave the mattress out for the full 72 hours. It did firm up a bit more during that time. Using the Mattress: This mattress was a dream from the first night. It doesn’t need any breaking-in period, as it arrives already in the perfect condition: soft enough to be comfortable, but firm enough to be supportive. I am a plus-sized person with chronic pain, and this mattress gave me the first pain-free sleep I’ve had in years. What really made a difference for me is that the support spreads out evenly along my body. Previous mattresses would cause pain because I’d only get support on a few contact points (hips, shoulders, knees) and wake up in pain from the intense pressure. But with this Zinus mattress, I have zero pain from those contact points, and also don’t have to spend a ton of time setting up special support pillows - the mattress just somehow supports my body in the way I need it to. My fiancé, who is of average weight and experiences very occasional mild neck and back pain, noted immediately that he was also much more comfortable with this mattress. He previously couldn’t sleep longer than about 6-7 hours without being stiff and sore all over when he got up (which he had just chalked up to getting older), but on this new mattress, he can sleep 8+ hours with no pain at all in the morning. The quality and comfort this mattress provides is exceptional - the fact that one mattress somehow fulfills the comfort and support needs for two people with very different body types is some kind of mattress miracle! Hybrid Structure (Memory Foam + Pocket Coils): The hybrid structure is probably what makes this mattress such a good fit for me and my fiancé. Memory foam is great but can often be too hard or too soft, and pocket coils can put pressure in the wrong places. When combined, though, the memory foam and pocket coils are perfect. Highly recommend a hybrid mattress! “Cooling Gel” Feature: We’ve been using the mattress without a cover to see if the cooling gel made a difference, and it’s hard to say if it has or not. I’m a very hot sleeper and prone to night sweats, and while I’ve been cooler at night lately, this coincides with me being able to make the bedroom cooler in general (as temps outside drop and I can open windows, etc.) I can say it isn’t making me any hotter than any other mattress, though! And the cooling gel may be helping (I suspect it is a little bit) but it’s not a miracle cure for hot sleepers. (Now that we’ve trialed the cooling gel featured we’ll be placing a cover over the mattress now - I will update if that changes anything!) Longevity: As it’s only been a month, I can’t speak to the longevity of the mattress, but I will update as time goes on! Negatives: None that I can really think of! I do worry that maybe the mattress will wear out sooner than others, especially because I’m a bigger person, but I have no real reason to think that it will. Overall Impression: This mattress is fantastic. If you’re on the fence, *buy this mattress*. The price and ease of return is what made me finally purchase and I’m so glad I did. I would happily purchase again (and plan to do so for our spare bedroom!).!

Mattress is fairly comfortable, a bit softer than I’m used to but I have no aches or pains from sleeping on it. There is no edge support at all; I have nearly rolled out of bed a few times when I first got it since I’m an edge sleeper, so I’ve learned to avoid the edges or I could fall off entirely. Can’t really sit on the edge either because of this. Quality is fine, it expanded to the dimensions it was supposed to. No smell or anything from packaging which is good. I bought it on sale, would not pay full price for it.

I ordered for 12 inches, it’s been over a couple of weeks now and I am still waiting for the mattress to rise to 12inches but it only got to 10 inches, it has refused to get to 12 inches, don’t know if I got sent the right size or not. Other than that it’s nice and soft to lay on. It’s medium firm and great comfort for the price. It’s annoying when you pay for 12 inches and you are only get a 10 inches worth of what you paid for. It’s Ethically not right.

I was lucky enough to receive this as a Christmas gift in 2025 - and I couldn’t be happier with it. ( … First of all like how thoughtful is that?! Get someone in your life who cares enough about your comfort to buy you a fresh mattress for the holidays.) This is the second mattress i have had from Zinus - the previous one being well over 10 years old and it's a massive upgrade. Foremost it's *thick* -I only got the 10 inch mattress and it’s still very thick - i recognize that this is meant to be a box spring and mattress in one situation and it definitely does that double duty. I will say that unpacking this wasn’t as satisfying as the first time I got a mattress from this brand - previously there was a cute little envelope with some information on the bed and brand and this time around I only got instructions to stay clear of the mattress when you unwrap it. 🤷♀️ Straight out of the package: one thing that is of mention is that you definitely need to watch the kick back when you open the plastic this mattress is wrapped in 😂 Definitely don’t be anywhere near its ‘kick radius’ unless you want to experience being taken out by green-tea infused furniture. Alot of products that come wrapped in plastic like this tend to have a characteristic ‘smell’ - but this doesn’t have any smell at all gratefully - though I was a bit surprised it didn’t have some kind of scent from the green tea - I am happy it doesnt. Though you cannot smell the green tea ~ I envision it is working some kind of antioxidant alchemy inside the mattress fibres - keeping ickies from developing inside it! So I do love this feature. Another excellent feature is that this is OKEOTEX certified - which is a big deal for me. I try live a toxin-free lifestyle and so having my mattress OKEOTEX certified is definitely a win… I really appreciate this. The star of this mattress is most definitely the ‘motion isolation’ feature. I have no idea how they achieve this function but it’s absolutely legit… to the point that I can place a bottle of water atop of a book on one side of the bed and gently bounce on the other and it doesn’t fall over.. (yes I tested this!) I sleep alone but I imagine this would be particularly great for couples - where one person is a troubled sleeper or moves around alot at night. I would also add that I work from home and my bed is my desk - so I spend the majority of my time on this mattress in one way or another… not only does it provide a comfortable pain free sleep it also provides a sturdy sitting spot for me during the day. I would love to complete the set one day and get a cozy headboard and matching frame to go with this mattress as right now I am using the mattress on my original plain metal zinus frame and I think it would just take everything up a notch comfort-wise.. so if you’re shopping for a new bed - I would definitely recommend getting the full set. Overall this is the most comfortable bed i have ever owned. I love it - it deserves all the stars!

After about 1 year of use, this mattress has started causing me severe upper back pain. I can clearly feel the springs through the surface, especially when sleeping on my side, which creates strong pressure points. The support is no longer even, and it feels like the top layer has broken down much sooner than expected. I now wake up in pain almost every morning. I’m very disappointed with the durability and would not recommend this mattress for long-term use
