Got this for my 82 year old dad. He loves it. Adjusting the volume and tone of the ringer was a game changer. This thing gets LOUD (both ringer and phone volume) which is great. He's very complimentary of the overall quality, premium feel, and user friendliness.

For some reason I missed the fact that this needs to have internet access, but it does. We have not tried WiFi, but the internet cable works just fine. The screen is nice and big and after some initial setup, it works great. The words are very accurate and seeing them helps for people who are hard of hearing

Useful for individuals with hearing difficulties. Simple to set up and operate. No problems experienced with wireless connectivity or sound quality. The display is crisp and easy to read.

This phone has worked amazingly well for my husband for about 3 years then it just QUIT working ?? We ordered another bc it was easy to understand how to set it up. You do have to have a land line phone to connect to. Easy to hear and read the screen.

The setup is fairly easy and straight forward as long as you have Wi-Fi and internet service. I have used the phone only once thus far and the monitor worked very well. Customer must keep in mind that the speed and bandwidth of your Wi-Fi along with your internet service is going to determine how fast the words appear on the screen, so make sure you have an adequate speed and bandwidth when it comes to your internet service. I have a high frequency hearing loss and have constant ringing in my ears, so this purchase really helped me The only negative thing I can say about the phone is every time someone calls you, you have to adjust the volume every time. The volume does not stay at the level you adjusted it the first time, other then that this phone is perfect for my needs.

Lately, mom's been having more frustration hearing me on the phone. I thought something was wrong with her phone, but no. And her hearing aids were checked. And accents had always challenged her in phone messages. CapTel to the rescue. After reading stories of so many folks in my shoes, we thought it was time to try captions. Great instruction book that even she can understand. Quick set up. Put in all her contacts and she began practicing making and receiving calls. She is comfortable now and really likes not having to ask to, "please repeat that." She has a landline jack and ethernet we could connect to. The only negative is she has a new location to answer the phone, in her den, not the kitchen bar. But she is ok with that. As an active 95 yr old, she is happy to leave phone frustration behind. My husband has hearing loss and even with his aids, he struggles sometimes with phones. He wants this at our house, but at this time, I am delaying. We would have to get phone service and wire the house. Have to check into that. But I see it in the future. Great product, don't hesitate!

Great…. When it works! Wasn’t very easy for my grandmother to set up and get connected. But once she got help, she loves how she can read what the other person is saying but it’s been going out off and on.

This Is Great For People That Can’t Hear That Good. But For Some Reason My Mother Didn’t Care For It. She Is So Set In Her Way

This product cannot be used in Canada. I was not told this when I bought it in November for Christmas for my deaf Mother-in-Law. It works off the internet which was another thing we were not told. So we made an appointment for someone to come out to set it up. So I had to miss work, pay for internet connection only to find out that it can't be used in Canada. I have sent at least 7 messages to the company and Amazon. To date I have not gotten a reply on how to return it. Every answer says they are looking into it. It's April now and still no reply on how to send it back. If you live in Canada DON'T BUY IT!!! D. Stewart

No able to use in UK

This phone should not be advertised on Amazon Canada site as it cannot be used in Canada at all. I also had to pay to ship it back as it did not work here. Not impressed at all

AS above. I suggest you no not sell phone in the UK,I have an Email from CAPTEL to confirm this If you can send an Email address I will send you a copy. If you know of a similar phone for use in the UK I would be interested. Regards. Angus
