I don’t mind that it has an obvious plastic look personally, but others might. Two things rubbed me the wrong way: they only ship one sawtooth hanger with a large frame (despite the instructions saying you need two), and the measurements don’t account for the width of canvas, so you can’t use this for a 16x20 canvas painting, as it is exactly 16x20. For me, I actually had two paintings that needed hanging, so I was able to use it for an oil on board, but no matter how I tried that canvas was not going in. I’m also concerned with cracking the frame attaching the hanger, as it’s plastic, the sawtooth hanger is metal, and there’s no soft material for it to go in. As I had to use this for an oil on board, I have no wood frame to attach the sawtooth hanger into.
