The last one I built for myself was a i5 760 about 15years ago. I did initially buy the i3 14400f processor but I was quiet disappointed with the performance in comparison to a i5 9500f system in my daughters pc. I returned the i3 and purchased the i5 14400f and the difference was night and day. This was on desertcart for a great price roughly £110, the processor had 10 cores and runs great on every game I have played so far. I run a rtx 2070 super with it and play at 1080p and always get over 60fps on max settings on all the latest games. I didn't bother with the stock cooler and use a thermalright aio which keeps the temps always below 60°c whilst gaming. These are great temperatures but I can't comment on the original cooler. If you are after a simple no thrills cpu at a great price then this is hard to beat. I didn’t use the included cooler but I have no doubt it would be fine.
