Feels far better quality than many out there. Easy to fit and very positive and firm connection when coax plug inserted. Excellent picture and sound on TV for the HD channels as well as the SD channels. Well made and very nice product.

These things can be a bit fiddly to set up but I was impressed by how straightforward it was to install this product, and its general construction compared to others I have come across.

It's much smaller than I expected (living in an old building where the previous one hadn't been changed since the 80s, at least!) and it seems more modern (i.e. it's not just a bridge between the outside coaxial and the inside connector, there are electronics sitting in the middle (probably very basic electronics, but you know). If you're looking for one of these, no reason NOT to grab this one. Will fit nicely in any corner (usually placed on a window ledge) and comes with two self tapping screws to mount it.

I wouldn't normally bother reviewing such a low cost item (shame it's only available as an 'Add-On', but not exactly surprising at this price...), but I was impressed by the quality of this unit. I needed to replace another surface mounted aerial socket with a very poor connection inside (which became apparent once tested with the aerial signal strength meter bought earlier on Amazon and 'wiggling' around an aerial cable in the socket). The old socket had an incredibly fiddly way of connecting the cable inside, but this Antiference unit was simplicity itself - simply push the cable in through the back of the unit, screw-down the clamp around the screening braid and then screw the inner wire into the well-made connector inside. All very simple - no struggling to see what you are doing or desperately trying to hold something in place with one hand whilst screwing it down with the other. And yes, it certainly did fix the problem - highly recommended.

This product is fine as it goes - I bought it to replace an old junction box that was falling to pieces. It should be noted however that the old one had some capacitors in to act as shielding and filtering (probably because we live in a communal block and the aerial is shared). So I had to also buy a TV amplifier, not because the signal needs boosting, but because it included filtering and shielding (from mobile phone signals) and that was the only way to match the filtering that the old junction box had.

I initially ignored the reviews and bought a version 75% cheaper. - mistake. Unlike that one, this is well made and easily fitted in 5 minutes. Worth every penny.

Cheap enough and works just fine but had to adjust the cable clamp as it was too big to grip it.

Simple to install and sorted out my poor signal issues.
