Well designed pattern
I sew a lot of my clothes so that I get the right fit. I’ve been sewing since I was about eight years old, so I continued to collect patterns that will allow me to create the look I want. This pattern is simple and easy to follow.

This sewing pattern is NOT for beginners and takes much longer than the suggested 1 hour.
After years of sewing experience, I managed to make this cute top fit my measurements. I am a size small, but chose to cut the pattern for a size 12. Once I cut the materials, I realized that the waist and hip area would be too small, so I used a 5/8" seam for the neck, shoulders, and arm holes, but sewed a 3/8" seam from the arm pit sand below. The darts were too high to fit my bust comfortably. The top is a bit snug, but very flattering. Time to sew: Study pattern directions and cut pattern - 1 hour (I'm a perfectionist.) Sewing the arm and neck facing to the fabric, sewing both to the main front and back bodices - 1 hour Look for seam finishing instructions, which were not including. Seam finishing - 1 hour Sew slowly and keep fitting the top to my body shape - another hour Tacking the facings to the side seams so that they lay flat - 15 minutes Adding neck button and loop - 15 minutes (I used an elastic loop, the one suggested by the pattern maker would take at minimum 30 minutes to make. I've done it before, and never again.) Don't get me wrong - I love the result, but just know that this pattern takes time to make well.

This is a basic pattern that's very flattering and easy to adjust neckline/sleeve designs.
After making many masks, I had enough pretty cotton fabric to make some easy sleeveless tops for the hot hot summer we've had. The pattern paper is quite thin and fragile, but that's typical for patterns.

Not great for a beginner
As a beginner I didn’t find the instructions for sewing the inside facing to the top easy to understand. I had to rip out seams to turn the facing inside. I will not buy more patterns that require darts because following this pattern meant the darts were not aligned with my chest. Doubt I will wear the top.
