This is a gift for Christmas for my grandson who is 18 months old. I am positive he will love this. I have checked it out to make sure batteries were in it so that he can use it as soon as he opens it (no child I'm sure wants to open up a gift and some grown up take it away from them immediately) and I was very happy to see they were already batteries in it and it was ready to go. The voice recordings are clear on it and it has the very recognizable cocomelon songs in it. I'm sure he will love this. *Edited 3 months later... This is the end of March and I gave this to my grandson at Christmas. He still loves it it is still working just fine. There was something about cocomelon that just mesmerizes children. This is a good educational toy as he is learning his alphabet with this.

Purchased for my 1 year old, but my 3 year old loved it. She calls it a cocomelon ipad lol. The songs are good and it holds up being carried around by a toddler.
