Review: Mini Maggie needs a tailcap. This is the one to get. 5 stars. - I've always had Mini Maglites, in the toolbox, in my pocket, in the truck, handy by the doors to my place, in the wife's purse, we like these things. I've got bigger Maglites, several of the new 18650/21700 lithium battery types, and they're all good at what they do. A flashlight and a good multitool is my EDC, and if I had to pick one, my lil Maggie's it. I like the replaceable batteries. Rechargeables are good, I have a bunch of 'em, several lights to use 'em in, but recharging's not always handy. I keep spare AA batts for the Maggies, never failed me. LED made then a lot better. Still, I love the tailcap switch, and dagnabbit, Maglite never offered one. So it goes. Or, so it went, til I found this. I love it! It's a perfect detail that made my good lil Maggies even gooder. I got just one, to try it out, and I've had it in my pocket or near to hand since. Used it a lot, wante to see how it holds up. No flickers, no failed to function, it's reliable, and I'm here today to buy more of these, for all my other lil Maggies. It's absolutely simple, unscrew tailcap, screw this thing on, push the button. No more twisting the head of it. I hold my lights where my thumb switches are on the other lights, and wished the Mini Maggies did that too. Now, I can. And you can. Your upgraded Mini Mag will be a wee bit longer, still the right size, and the new switch is the same diameter as the light. Still easy to handle, esp. wearing winter gloves. It has an O-ring to seal, maintains waterproofery. The happy click it makes says it's cleaning the contact surfaces every time, which means flickering poor contact in the switch is a non-issue. I call this a good investment, and I'm here to buy several more. I believe you won't be disappointed if you like tailcap switches and don't care for twisting the head every time. It's solidly made, like the Maglight. This thing has that solid metal feel like the Maglight itself. I'm not a bot, not an AI, not compensated for this review in any way. Review: Neat little butt switch for MagLites - This little butt switch for mini MagLites is a great add-on. I've installed it on all the old 90s-era AA minis we have floating around the house—which is quite a few—and I'm perfectly happy with them. You can get momentary light by just partially depressing the switch, or you can lock the switch on by fully pressing. I do have one light where I've had to do a little bit of a screwing-unscrewing dance from time to time to keep it working, but I'm more inclined to put that down to oxidization of contacts inside the light itself than necessarily call it the butt switch's fault. In general, I'd gladly use these over the more traditional twist method of controlling the mini MagLite, especially the older ones where the contact control isn't very precise. It's much, much nicer to set the focus the way you want it and then use the butt switch. desertcart's asking me to rate the number of stars for "Brightness" and I'm not sure how to answer that question. How bright is the switch? Not at all. The light, though, does pretty well if you upgrade the lamp while you're upgrading the switch!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mini Maggie needs a tailcap. This is the one to get. 5 stars.

I've always had Mini Maglites, in the toolbox, in my pocket, in the truck, handy by the doors to my place, in the wife's purse, we like these things. I've got bigger Maglites, several of the new 18650/21700 lithium battery types, and they're all good at what they do. This little butt switch for mini MagLites is a great add-on. Well made & works perfectly-fits the Mini Maglite barrel end like a glove. The switch can be partially pressed On for temporary lighting or fully pressed On & Off for traditional usage. Great product-good value for the price.
