How to replace batteries 1. Unscrew 2 screwers on the back side of the ball device (there are 2 arrows pointing to where the screwers are) by a small cross-head screwdriver. 2. Find the battery case on the side with open/close mark (NOT the side with speaker). 3. Remove the screw locking the battery case cover (only one screwer). 4. Install the batteries (3 X AAA), lock the battery case cover back. 5. Screw back the back side of ball device, put the ball device back into the plush cover. Note: Watch your pet when playing! Be careful not to swallow by your pet! NO throwing or chewing! The rolled it, tossed it, shook it and ran from it. It worked excellent for a good 45 min to an hour then would skip to some songs and not repeat sounds just keep making a beeping sound like it was looking for the next track. Oh well it was hysterical while it lasted and they enjoyed. Now it's just a heavy toy that occasionally makes a peep. That gets my puppy’s attention and he will pounce and activate it where it will run for about 20 seconds. Once it stops if he barks it will bark back and jiggle. The only thing I don’t like, and it is minor, is the toy plays allot of Christmas music and it is July. Weird.
