rOtring Rapid Pro Mechanical Pencil, 0.7 mm, Black

I have owned a similar mechanical pencil before. I love the weight and reliability of the pencil. I prefer the .7 lead over the .5 for decreased breakage with the manner in which I write. When my previous pencil turns up, I will still not regret repurchasing this devise. Great pencil.

Major fan! I miss the lead indicator, truly, but love the retractable lead and sleeve! The pencil writes and sketches perfectly showing it’s well balanced. The barrel is hexagonal preventing it from rolling around willy nilly and the barrel being slightly thicker than the model 600 feels like my hand having finally found just the right thickness. I find it just as sturdy as my 600 model.

I have been using Rotring products for many years and appreciate their general strength and finishing. However, when I came across the Rapid Pro 0.7 I had to try it. It is next level. Definitely a little bit pricey, but it is a quality product - well made, good feel, strong, well balanced. They need to advertise this product a little better…

Decided to purchase de Rapid Pro despite some criticism agaist the middle connector made of red plastic. Honestly, this piece of plastic looks and feels very resilient and I don't see how it could fail IF the pencil is used correctly. This is a moderately expensive item as should be valued and cared as such. I like the mate black finish and its quality and functionality.

I really love the weight and feel of this pencil. I bought it as a replacement for my Pentel Graphgear 1000 which broke along the plastic connector section of the body. I was hoping that the Rapidpro would be all metal, but unfortunately after reading other reviews I realized the red connector piece on the body is plastic. It is still a great pencil. It functions smoothly and is a pleasure to use every day. If they had figured out a way to make it all metal I would definitely give it 5 stars. Still I think it is a good pencil for the price. I really like the sliding sleeve because I put my pencil in my backpack and don't want the tip breaking off. I think extension/retraction mechanism of the Graphgear 1000 is better because I like how that clicks in and out of place quickly. However, the weight, feel, and grip on the Rapidpro are far superior to the Graphgear and are worth the slightly higher price. The sliding sleeve can retract slowly as the lead wears down, but I don't really like writing with the lead barely extended. So that aspect of the sliding sleeve doesn't do anything for me.

Sleek, attractive (to the engineering eye :), well balanced, flawless build, reliable performance, sturdy pocket clip, and good lead-advancement ergonomics. Very satisfactory indeed. The retracting lead "nozzle" is a big plus, much less likely to be damaged falling out of a pocket or such. I'm liking the 0.7mm lead version. Fewer lead breakage incidents and a more bold expressiveness for work that is not yet detailed. I like it a lot, great price point. I would definitely do it again and recommend.

I’m an engineer by trade, but am currently taking business courses. I find myself using a pencil a lot especially when making calculations. I own a couple of Mont Blanc pens, and wanted something a step above a normal mechanical pencil to use on a daily basis. I liked the price point of the Rapid Pro and after using it for a couple of days I have to say that I’m very happy with it. I considered the Rotring 600 (but wanted a retractable tip which the 600 doesn’t have) or the Rotring 800 (which has a retractable tip, but is more expensive and has some negative reviews about its retract mechanism). Overall the Rotring Rapid Pro is probably the best mechanical pencil I’ve ever used. Love the fine knurling and the feel of it. A few small cons 1. Red ring is plastic, I wish the red section was metal 2. I would have preferred if the cushioning behind the lead protection mechanism was a bit stiffer. 3. No lead type indication (not a problem for me, Since I basically always use standard HB lead, but it could be a problem for others). Some reviews said that the Rapid Pro was too heavy, I think it’s weight is perfect. I also read that the eraser cap could be loose, mine is secure. Awesome mechanical pencil and exactly what I hoped it would be.

I have used lots of pentel and staedler pencils before but ROTRING RAPID PRO/ROTRING 600 IS THE BEST and this statement is gonna remain universal untill the end of time. The pencil works like a German made machine. It retract (manually) to protect the lead and the cylinder around it.

Rotring 500 ün ise fiyatı gerçekten çok avantajlıydı fakat benim gibi kalem hastaları kalemi eline alınca kaliteyi, ağırlığı hissetmeli, diye düşündüm. Rotring in Tikky vs modellerine değinmiyorum. Geriye kaldı iki model: Rotring Rapid PRO ve Rotring 600. Ama ben Rapid PRO yu satın aldım. Çünkü, 1. 600 ün uç iğnesi içe gizlenemezken Rapid PRO da gizlenebiliyor. Uç iğnesinin içe girmemesinin çizim için avantajları falan olsa da ben kalemi daha çok günlük kullanım ve yazma için aldığımdan dolayı ucunun kolayca yamulup zarar görmemesi için Rapid PRO yu tercih ettim. 2. 600 ün boyası Rapid PRO ya göre daha erken atma yapacağından (ben kalemin görüntüsüne çok önem veren biriyim) Rapid PRO yu tercih ettim. * Rotring 600, Rotring Rapid PRO dan daha önce piyasaya sürülüp Rotring 800 ün hemen alt modeli olmasıdan dolayı Rapid PRO ya göre daha çok abartılıp ön plana çıkıyor. Rapid PRO nun kendisini değerlendirirsem gerçekten o kalite ve hissi anlatamam. Çok iyi, harika, mükemmel bir kalem. Kalemi almadan yorumlarını çok okudum. Genelde kalemin üst silgi kapağının kolay çıktığını ve kalemin tutma yerinin eli acıttığını yazmışlar. Ben kalemi kullanıyorum, çok rahatsızlık vermiyor (her halde alışığım). Kapağı ise benim kalemimde öyle kolay çıkmıyor; bana öyle iyi mi denk geldi yoksa o sorun genel olarak giderilmiş mi, bilemiyorum.
