Drains slowly.
Works OK, certainly looks better than the old drain. Downgraded it one star because it drains very slowly.

Works great!
Works great! Easy to install, seals well, looks fantastic, and a great value for the money. It is easy to clean it which we do once every week or two to remove hair and for general purposes. This is best drain stopper we have ever had, and it is attractive, too.

Doesn't fit a standard 20 year old sink
The edge of the insert sits above the original sink drain causing water to stay in the sink. I'ts not a lot of water but I dont want it sitting in the sink all of the time. The sink mushroom is a better solution allowing all of the water to drain but that doesn't allow you to fill the sink with water I will stay with the sink mushroom. I removed the gasket that is there to seal between the old flange and the new one and all of the water runs down the drain. Only concern now is it will retain water between the new and old flange and the pipe seal.

So much better than the old drain plug
Great little gadgit. I replaced the old fashioned plug in two of my three bathrooms (they would only let me order two at the time). Now more dealing with the rod attachment behind the faucet trying to get the angle and "throw distance right. I un-clipped the old ball rod and made sure the drain cap was tight. then I ripped out the old plug with a screw driver. The amount of "crud" that was on it was amazing and gross. I tossed that and inserted the Mer-Maid Drain Magic and it fit like a glove. Holds the water forever and drains faster than it ever has. Looks great and easy to clean. Need one more for my other bathroom!

Very Easy to use and Yes it works!
I was kinda skeptical at first but it worked perfectly! Fit perfectly, very durabil, easy to use, colors matched up perfectly. If your having an issue with a broken or missing drain stopper this is a simple soloution to your problem!
