Review: Very informative - Very informative book interesting to read Review: Really good find! - My friend recently bought this book and got me intrigued. I've lived in London all my life and didn't know half of the places in the book existed! It's really great if you want to visit London either cheaply or you just want to see some of the more unusual things London has to offer. It's also really interesting just to read and find out some more history about London. It is for dipping in and out of, rather than reading cover-to-cover but it is nothing more than it claims to be; an unusual guide. I bought this book to help me discover a side to a city I only had a cosmetic understanding of and it has not failed to both inspire and delight in equal measure. I like the fact that it has almost beligerently sought out the least accessible and popular places for a potential tourist to go to. I like that it is looking at old drinking fountains and dental museums with a sense of wonder. It is essentially breaking this huge city down into its respective small villages then treating each as if it were nothing more or less than just that. Do not buy this book if you are after somewhere 'different' to take the children, it is not that kind of book. Neither should it be used as a sole recourse for a day-out. It is more useful as a source of reference as you transit through areas (preferably by foot) to help wonder at the sheer scale of diversity the cities history has to offer. Overall, I would recommend this book to those who are looking to discover more about London than its top 10 attractions on tripadvisor. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/60945616-secret-london-an-unusual-guide](https://www.desertcart.in/products/60945616-secret-london-an-unusual-guide) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
