Most awesome baby carrier! Easy on your shoulders, good distribution of weight.
I had an ergo years ago when my kids were babies/toddlers, and it was my favorite out of the 4 carriers I had. They have only gotten more awesome. Pros: - Waist strap takes a lot of weight off the shoulders. This has to be one of the best things about this carrier. Others put ask the weight on the shoulders, which is more uncomfortable. - Many ways to carry. This is my second favorite feature. Some kids like to face forward, some want to face towards you, and when they’re older it’s often more convenient to carry them on your back. - The same carrier will work from infants all the way up to toddlers. And I used it from newborn up until 3 yrs old! - Washable. Very important, since little ones tend to chew on the straps, and slobber everywhere. - I love how easy they have made it to switch from facing you to facing forward. Just slide a couple pieces over and you’re set. - Durable. Mine lasted for years, through 3 children and many washes. - Several colors to choose from. I chose charcoal, because it will show the least dirt. Light colors and black all show dirt and stains more easily. Remember, kids will chew and slobber on anything they can get in their mouth. My beige one from years ago had several stains by the time my 3 kids were finished with it. - You can breastfeed your baby in it, though it’s a little tricky. If you can manage it, others probably won’t even know your baby is eating, and you can breastfeed modestly in public. Cons: - A little pricey, but totally worth it. - It can be warm. This has improved somewhat, with the breathable covering of a lot of parts. But in exchange for being able to carry a little human against you, and making sure they are secure, it’s going to be warm. I got this ergo for a cousin who is having her first baby. It’s a must have for moms who want to have their babies close, or for those who like hiking and other activities and want to take their babies or toddlers along.

Can be overwhelming, but so worth it
There are a lot of things I love about this baby carrier. One of them is not the extensive instructions on how to use, but it is essential that you read them! There are a lot of parts to this carrier. It can be overwhelming. But if you take the time to read carefully, this carrier will serve you well. There are so many adjustable parts which is nice because my husband is one foot taller than me and sixty pounds heavier, but both of us can easily wear this carrier since it’s so adjustable and versatile. It feels sturdy and durable, fits snugly and ergonomically, and my baby seems comfortable in it. And how nice that we can use it for more than just a few months! It came just as pictured - the mesh material is really nice and cooling - and it’s easy to fold up and store in a small space. Looking forward to using this for a long time on trips and whatnot.

It works very well for babies with hip dysplasia.
I love it. It is absolutely perfect—great quality and very comfortable for the baby; I love the back support it offers. I looked at so many options because my baby wears a Pavlik harness, and this one undoubtedly works really well for us.

I wish we got this sooner
Awesome carrier! The bad reviews are way off on this carrier. It’s a shame they are what you see first on Amazon, and not all of the good reviews....The shoulder straps are “bulky” from the padding, but they are very, very flexible and comfortable. And I have no issue fitting under jackets - maybe if it is a tight fitting jacket, then sure, but a normal jacket fits easily over them. I didn’t get this carrier to begin with because we had two hand me downs - a Kelty and a cool mesh K’tan - and I thought we would use the K’tan the most so we also purchased a cotton one too. Now the Kelty- that is bulky! This is ridiculously comfortable, lightweight, and the exact opposite of bulky. For the two K’tans, they both feel far more bulky than this, probably because there is so much fabric wrapped around you tightly. After seven months of not using our carriers because they all overheated our baby - even the cool mesh K’tan - and never being able to get either of us comfortable in any of the carriers, I finally decided to try this carrier. And boy do I wish I had gotten it sooner! This feels like nothing, our baby is literally all smiles in it and it is amazingly comfortable for me to wear too. Our baby is very active, that may be a factor in the K’tans never being comfortable-there was a lot of squirming and the fabric would pull and end up lopsided with the baby being supported by a ball of fabric under one leg within ten minutes of being in the K’tan. The mesh isn’t uncomfortable, it is not soft like the K’tan mesh, but it isn’t scratchy or hard either - not sure what the complaints are about. It is also very well made, the fabric is very high quality, almost a denim-like texture but it is a lighter weight, high quality cotton twill and I can’t see how it could split - not sure what those complaints are about either. I think they may have made some adjustments though since others have reviewed it. The belt adjustment for baby leg spacing is now Velcro - and very secure Velcro, the belt is clipped together to keep it in place around your hips- there is no “slide” as other reviewers have mentioned, so maybe the fabric and mesh have been changed too? Bottom line - this carrier is awesome, it’s lightweight, minimal in bulk, fits our baby perfectly, and doesn’t overheat our baby. Awesome carrier. *update! I found what the other reviews mention as “slides” - they are on the body of the carrier/front - and they are quite poorly designed, they definitely slide, a lot.....but they are not needed to keep baby comfortable, the Velcro at the belt that is adjustable is really to only thing needed. Not really sure what they were thinking with the outer slides...I think this is where the plastic rods another reviewer mentioned are too, but again I don’t have, or see, an issue with them - the are on the outside of the carrier, and in no way that I can see could affect the comfort. Just a little annoying. Although I can see a use for the slides - they open up the leg spacing without having to take the carrier off and readjust the Velcro. It’s annoying that they don’t stay put, but convenient if you want to temporarily get more air flow...my 2 cents

Mostly Good
I really wanted this baby carrier because it checked off all the features I wanted. Pros: It has great lumbar support which helps as the baby gets bigger. It has a length adjustment which keeps the baby comfortable as it grows. Great mesh for air flow which keeps the baby cool. It has an attachable rain cover (shown in pic 2) which is beneficial for rainy days. The front fanny bag is very convenient for storing your wallet and or cell phone. I also like the age range it can be used for, which is one of the main reasons we bought it. Not many support up to 45lbs. Cons: The majority of the safety support comes from the top back clip (highlighted on the picture) which can be a bit difficult to clip on your own due to the high placement. Without that clipped on, the shoulder straps will easily slide off. I do think it is a bit pricey compared to other carriers out there. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Love it, but read the directions and wear it properly!
This carrier is great and I highly recommend it, but it can be awful if used incorrectly. There are so many adjustments you can make for both your comfort and your baby's comfort, and they make a huge difference when you are wearing it for a long time. Be sure you have the straps adjusted for the size of your baby and the position you will be carrying them in, and ESPECIALLY be sure the pad on the back of the waist strap is centered on your back. This thing can really hurt your back when worn incorrectly, so it's worth doing right from the beginning! When everything is put on correctly, I'm amazed by how long both I and our baby can go. Besides the comfort, I love being able to switch between front facing and back facing, and look forward to trying it on my back when our baby gets bigger! It seems very durable and is showing no signs of wear after many months, and I love the shade hood and little fanny pack for tucking things away. It's a great carrier, but read and follow the directions to get the best experience!

Best out of 5 different carriers bought
Having a baby is buying multiples of everything until you find something your baby likes (or at least won't cause screaming fits.) We have 5 different carriers/wraps. Every baby is different and what one likes another will hate. I suggest buying several from amazon, trying each out for the full 30 days and in the end just return the ones your baby never took too and keep the ones he or she likes. The Ergo baby wins the carrier challenge in our house. Baby didn't really like it at first but after a couple weeks I put him in this (at 2 1/2 months old) and he is out in seconds. I primarily just use this now for naps so I can still get things done. This is really the only way he naps now. When I'm wearing it I still have a good range of motion. I can move around and lift my arms up. Its pretty comfy for me and I am very happy with the purchase. It is breathable and keeps little one from sweating a lot. I think the only thing i miss is having a "hip seat" like the Bebamour i have which is carrier but has a hip seat that is detachable from carrier. We have a Tactical Baby carrier which is exorbitantly priced but my husband really wanted it, the baby hates it. We have a Moby wrap which was great for like the first month or so but no real back support so as the baby got bigger my back started hurting (also now little one no longer like being carried that way at 2 1/2 months.) Also I cant lift my arms up when wearing it so it limits my motion. The Mamaway Ring Sling Baby Wrap, baby didn't like and I think had a larger learning curve than the Moby wrap, we never got it to work just right. The Baby K'tan Active Baby Wrap Carrier which just didn't fit right as I was between sizes (again baby really wasn't impressed). The Bebamour New Style Designer Sling and Baby Carrier we still use but not the whole thing, just the hip seat. I like to put that on and face baby out so he can see whats happening, it just takes a bit of weight off my arms. I love that the hip seat is removable from carrier. If i could combine the Ergo with the Bebamour I think it would be the prefect carrier but if i had to choose one over the other Ergo wins for us. If my review was at all helpful please let me know.. Thanks!

The Only Baby Carrier That Doesn't Leave My Back Wrecked
The Only Baby Carrier That Doesn't Leave My Back Wrecked As a stay-at-home dad, I've tested more baby carriers than I care to admit. The Ergobaby Omni Classic is the one that earned a permanent spot in our rotation — and my back is why. I can wear this thing for 2-3 hours straight without reaching for the ibuprofen. The lumbar support and padded shoulder straps actually do what they promise, which — as any dad who's suffered through a cheap carrier knows — is not guaranteed. It's also certified hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, which matters when your pediatrician brings it up at every visit. The versatility is real. Four carry positions — inward, outward, hip, and back — that grow with your kid from newborn all the way to 45 lbs. We're at 10 months and it still fits perfectly with easy one-handed adjustments. The pull-out sunshade and front pockets for pacifiers and a wallet are small touches that make a big difference on a long day out. Is it bulky? Yes. Is it expensive? Also yes. But here's my honest take — if your back starts hurting after 20 minutes in a carrier, the carrier isn't working for you. This one works. The back clip looks intimidating the first time. It's not. Give it two tries and it becomes second nature. Bottom line: If comfort is your dealbreaker, this is your carrier. Dad-tested, back approved.

I would recommend this one if you are looking for a stable comfortable baby carrier. Love the colour, and the fit.

Very happy
I read a lot of reviews before deciding on the Ergobaby OMNI 360 Mesh Carrier. From everything I read this seemed to be one of the best carriers & it definitely is. After watching a few instructional videos on how to use it, & getting it adjusted for me & my baby & practicing putting her in & out, I find it very easy to use. It is super easy to put baby in & out on my own, has great back support, all the weight distributed on your lower back, barely feel it on your shoulders. By baby seems comfortable in it, have only used it with her facing me on my front, but I love that there is the option in the future to turn her to face outward or carry her on my back. I started using it when my daughter was 6 weeks & she was fine. I am very glad I chose the mesh option as this summer has been very hot & humid so far, although I do not wear it when its 25 degrees C or warmer as it just gets too hot for me & baby. Also like how there is a sun shade in the front pocket that easily comes out to shade baby's head & how there is a pocket you can take on & off which is big enough for keys, cell phone, etc. Overall very happy with this carrier
