Excellent Gauge
Pros: Calibration Certificate LCD Display Backlit Peak / Real-Time / Auto-Peak Modes Track Push/Pull Load Testing Free Software Cons: None What I received in the package: 1 x MXMOONFREE HP-500N Push Pull Force Gauge 4 x Pressure Test Attachments 1 x Tensile Test Attachment 1 x Extension Shaft 1 x Pack of Screws 1 x Pastic Storage Case 1 x Power Adapter 1 x RS232 to USB Cable 1 x User Manual 1 x Calibration Certificate This MXMOONFREE HP-500N Push Pull Force Gauge product is a digital gauge that can switch between Track and Peak modes. The product has the capacity to test up to 100lbf within + or - 0.5% accuracy. The meter comes with several attachments. But does not come with a clamp. So you really only have the one small hook for tensile strength testing. But it is sufficient for my needs. This can be used for various applications. But the first one I wanted to test was the poundage on my 40lb bow. I just had it restrung and it felt a bit stronger than normal. So I was able to test the pull strength of 18kg and convert it to pounds. Which ended up being 39.6 lbs. Which is almost spot on. I also tested my 30lb recurve as well and it provided similar accuracy. This did exactly what I needed it for. But there are many other applications from accessibility to closing pressures, etc that this product is ideal for. It has so many uses and applications. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, this did exactly what I needed it for. But there are many other applications from accessibility to closing and opening pressures, etc that this s ideal for. It has so many uses and applications. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

Better than a scale for measuring forces
The proper tool to use to measure force. I use to test the thrust output of model airplane motors. Recommended

absolutely junk
unit sounds like its breaking under just a few grams of force (plastic creaking and crackling).... the software simply will not install and trips just about every known virus protection on the planet. just safe yourself the time and money and buy something else.

For me it's a little harder to use.
Right off the bat this thing is kind of technical where there is different specks to read from and sometimes its not on the settings needed. Trying to use it such as seeing how much weight the gate is pulling down is to be between 8 to 10 lbs. So holding it and lifting is simple. Just have to be in the right setting other than that it's great. Seems to be good quality but I don't know on these what is not good quality. I didn't take apart to look inside but the housing feels good. So far the performance is holding up. It's not often I do get to use it so the storage case it came in is also good. Not bad of a tool to use. The question I have for accuracy is how do I know it is and I am not sure. There is not a second too around that tell me to compare so when the tools that are used comes around for calibration time then I will know.

Works well but a bit fragile
I do a lot of testing and own high-end force gauges that you could drop on the floor and not worry that they will break. The big con about this gauge is just how lightweight and fragile it is. It comes with the all-important calibration certification which is a must for my work. I tested against known weights and it is very accurate. Comes with a nice case with the common attachments. I really like the ability to flip the screen for easy readout. Nice case to hold all the components. I like the software for real time recording and force charts. I highly recommend.
