Very well made despite looking like some of the wire is a bit thin. I've used a lower end model of Plantronics at work, and having spent hundreds on pairs before, I could feel the quality of the build. These ones have a mute and volume control on the wire, making it useful when I am gaming or working. I can wear these for many hours without any discomfort, and would highly recommend these for anyone working on a computer and needing a decent set of headphones. I also use them on the train, since the USB-C connector means I can use them with my Android phone.

I’ve been using the Poly Blackwire 5220 headset daily for work calls, virtual meetings, and listening to audio while multitasking at home, and overall I’m very impressed with the quality and comfort. I needed a reliable headset that could handle long hours of use without hurting my ears or constantly disconnecting, and this one has done exactly that. The audio quality is clear on both ends during calls. Voices sound crisp without sounding overly sharp, and the microphone does a great job reducing background noise. I have kids at home, so having a mic that doesn’t pick up every little sound in the background has been a huge plus during meetings. Comfort was another major factor for me, and this headset feels lightweight enough to wear for several hours at a time. The ear cushions are soft and don’t create too much pressure, even during longer workdays. I also like that the headband feels adjustable without feeling flimsy. Setup was quick and straightforward. It connected easily to my laptop without needing extra software, and the inline controls are convenient for adjusting volume, muting calls, or answering quickly without interrupting workflow. One thing I appreciate is that the cord feels durable and less prone to tangling compared to cheaper headsets I’ve owned before. The build quality overall feels professional and sturdy without being bulky. The only small downside for me is that the ear cups can feel slightly warm after several continuous hours of wear, but that’s fairly minor considering how comfortable the headset is overall. If you work remotely, attend a lot of virtual meetings, or just need dependable call quality, I think the Poly Blackwire 5220 is definitely worth considering.
