Tasty
These lentil chips come well packaged to avoid crushing. The bags are well filled and have a long date on them (Jan 2025). I was pleasantly surprised by these as they are very flavoursome and are reminiscent of a mouthful of multiple components of an curry meal. The crisp itself is quite similar to a poppadum and then the flavours are a combination of a mango chutney taste, mint raita and curry all in one. It is very enjoyable to eat and I found myself being unable to put the bag down after having a few, they are very moreish. They are plant-based, gluten-free and lower in calories than standard crisps which is great. I would say they are priced fairly for the quality of the item and I was again surprised at how big the bags were, with each one containing 5-6 portions. Once opened, if you can seal the bag up and store in a cool place, they do stay fresh and crisp for quite a while. I made one bag last a week and by the end of the week they still tasted as nice and crispy as when the bag was first opened. Overall, these crisps are a nice, healthier alternative to standard crisps. They taste great, are all natural and are versatile too. I would highly recommend them.

I kind of hated them at firstโbut they have grown on me!
Eat Real, Mango and Mint Lentil Chips, 10 x 95g They're not as nice as real crisps, but they are filling. INITIAL IMPRESSION =============== ๐ขThey are crunchy and (a little too) spicy. ๐ดThey feel quite dry. ๐ They aren't delicious, but then nothing that is TRULY healthy is! ๐ I feel like my tastebuds are being assaulted by artificial chemicals / flavours / salt. โ I like the textureโthey remind me of prawn crackers. TEXTURE ======= The tongue feel: a bit like prawn crackers (but only texturewise) But taste: mixed with lentils and a lot of salt/chemicals ALTERNATIVE ========== โญ I much prefer Salted Lentil Chips from the same brandโthey are mild and more tolerable. TOUTED FEATURES =============== โถ Mango and Mint Lentil Chips ๐ actually just tastes like chemicals (I don't taste mango nor mint!) โถ Ten 95g packs ๐ข very big crisp packets โถ gluten-free โถ healthy and plant-based ๐ If you say so. The brand listed is โEat Realโ. For posterity, the following was noted at the time of writing (๐ 24 June 2024): โข Title: Eat Real, Mango and Mint Lentil Chips, 10 x 95g, Gluten-Free Snack Option, Healthy and Plant-Based Multipack Crisps, 30% Less Fat CONCLUSION โข These are acceptable snacks. They are by no means "crisps" and they are NOT yummy. โข However, I am willing to tolerate them given that they are supposedly healthy. UPDATE 03.07.2024 =============== Actually, they have really GROWN ON ME! I LOVE THEM NOW! UPDATE A FEW DAYS LATER ====================== Eh, I think i only liked them because I was really high and had the munchies. I think it really ๐ Lowering score to 3 โ

Lovely. Interesting flavour combo that works surprisingly well.
If you're into crispy, crunchy, interesting flavoured snacks than these might be perfect for you. The flavour is strange, but works well. The flavour reminds me a bit of Sensations mango chutney popadoms, but far more subtle. The mint flavour is akin to a mint yoghurt sauce that you get at a takeaway, and together, they bring a whole popadom and chutney vibe - but nothing too over the top. The texture is great. They're thicker than the flavour would have you expect - they're crispy, crunchy and moreish. They remind me of something that would usually have a crispy bacon flavour added to it. They're dry and not greasy in any way which is fabulous. There's no hint of oil flavour either. They have a good saltiness within the lentil cracker - I doubt anyone could call them bland at all - something that the word 'lentil' conjures up in my mind. The bags are generous, the chips are tasty and filling. The fact that these are lower fat doesn't really cross your mind. I'd rate these highly, personally. Very nice - would order again.

Tasty, but spicier than expected
These are really tasty lentil chips. The packet is large, suitable for sharing. They are crunchy and have a good texture. The flavour is rich and pleasant. I can't taste the mango if I'm honest, they mainly taste of citrus (lemon in particular) and mint and they are savoury and spicy (not sweet). They are spicier than I expected, the ingredients list cayenne pepper. I would have liked it mentioned on the packet as not everyone is a fan of spicy crisps. Other than that they are tasty and I'd recommend them.

Mango Chutney In A Bag! Strong, Spicy & Flavoursome... And I Couldn't Tell They Were Lentil Based
These Eat Real, Mango & Mint crisps are very good. Opening up a bag there is a really strong minty smell that reminded me instantly of a curry and indeed that curry link progresses through to the taste. The actual taste is just like a strong mango chutney, only with a delayed spiciness to it that causes a warming tingle in the throat. The 95g bag is a good size and ideal for two sharing as I struggled on my own to finish a whole bag as that flavour, as good as it is, is rather strong. For those worried about the lentils, I would say go for it. As far as I'm concerned I cannot taste that these are lentil based. As an alternative to simply snacking on them I can see these being a nice addition to a curry meal with friends, where they are like a much thicker, yet compact, mango chutney flavoured poppadom.

An Interesting Combination
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. The chips are well-sealed inside each foil pack - they're so fresh that the aroma really hits you, as soon as you open the bag. I'll admit that I wasn't sure if I'd like the flavour, based on such a strong smell, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. You initially get a rich, salty flavour, with the cooling mint feeling in the background, and then, a peppery sensation warms the back of the throat. They also have a very satisfying crunch, and for me personally, a handful was pretty filling. Given the pack size, it is a really good value item.

Flavour is much nicer than I anticipated
I would never have thought mango would have worked as a crisp flavouring. I also wouldn't have thought mint would work as a crisp flavouring. And I definitely wouln't have thought they would work together. Turns out, I would have been completely wrong! These crisps taste amazing, reminding me of a sort of mango chutney flavour you might get from a tandoori takeaway. This perhaps isn't surprising when you look at the ingredients and see that it contains spices such as coriander, cumin and cayenne pepper. Lovely crisps, just don't be fooled into thinking these are completely 'guilt-free'. They probably lower in calories than your average crisps, but there are still over 400 calories per bag.

Eat Real, Mango and Mint Lentil Chips, 10 x 95g
๐ฅ๐ถ Spicy ๐ถ๐ฅ I'm really sensitive to chilli peppers and black pepper, and was not expecting so much spice in these crisps. The flavour underneath the heat was nice, but I couldn't eat more than a few. My partner says that they are really nice, but she wishes there was less chilli because she'd like to be able to taste the mint flavour more.
