A couple of suggestions. Open and close it a few dozen times to get it so it isn't as hard to open up. It is very stiff at the start. This thing has everything if you are looking for a tool in one for a BOB or TEOTWAWKI bag. A few dozen hooks, a grunting plane and you are set, cut a stick, put some spider wire on it and a worm and you could eat nice.
