This thing worked perfectly.I recently moved into an old house. The deadbolt didn't line up for the smart lock I wanted to install. I got this strike plate and a cheap chisel set. It installed so fast and easy, and the smart lock activates nice and smooth.

The smaller sized deadbolt strike. Works well to help the bolt line up to the hole in the door jamb. Easy to install.

Exactly what I needed!! The holes aligned perfectly with the existing holes on the door frame. The whole set came in a little (reusable) box instead of a flimsy bag, which is much appreciated! Solved my problem and it was very affordable! Just be aware that the corners are a little more squared than most strike plates so you might need a chisel to make the plate fit properly but that is an easy fix!

Works great for a garage entrance door that changes with the seasons. It was just a pinch to large to fit where the old strike was. Easy fix with a utility knife and wood chisel. Used longer screws to reach inner door frame for a more secure install. Four stars. Pricey for what it is.

My outside doors float up and down seasonally making latching closed and issue for 1/2 the year. This allowed me enough play that my doors now are able to latch winter or summer. Great opportunity for me to use my new chisels while installing it too!

I've ordered five of these (waiting on the 5th as I type this) and this deadbolt strike plate is simply the best you are going to find for a narrow-side deadbolt strike plate. I finished building my home last December and decided to use electronic smart deadbolts. My contractor had never seen such a deadbolt before and didn't understand that the bolt needed a clear and unobstructed path since the motors on electronic deadbolts are not powerful enough to handle any interference. As a result, 5 of my 8 doors with smart deadbolts simply would not work. I then spent a small fortune trying countless other solutions that failed to close the doors that fraction of an inch farther that would allow the deadbolt to pass freely without obstruction. Finally it dawned on me that I could rather use a deadbolt strike plate that had one side slight smaller. I went looking for solutions and initially purchased "C" style strike plates that rely on the wooden door jamb. That solved the issue, but I was not satisfied that my kids wouldn't damage the door frame over time. I went back to square one in April this year and found this MOSECYOU Deadbolt Restorer Strike Plate. It both resolves my need for a clear bolt path and still maintains a full metal structure to protect the door jamb from repeated strikes. If your door frame already has a cutout for this square shape strike plate (and it's the correct 2 1/4 size, this is plug and play. For me I had strike plates with 1/4" radius corners so I need to grind the corners down on the strike plate to get them to fit. That was easier than modifying the door jamb itself (and less costly if I messed up). If I could ask the manufacturer to make any change it would be to offer this item with 1/4" radius corners to match more standard strike plate dimensions. But other than that, this thing saved me nearly a thousand dollars in a potentially wasted purchase of smart locks. Good stuff!

This strike plate solved my door problem. I just bought a unit in a condo and the strike plates are larger than the standard size plate offered by this seller as well as other sellers. Whenever I tried to lock the dead bolt, I always had trouble locking the deadbolt, I would need to pull the door before turning the key. This is problematic when your hands are full. Then I bought an electronic keyless deadbolt, and it wouldn’t lock. When I looked at the strike plate, I see that someone tried hammering the strike plate to get it to work with the original deadbolt. The original hole was obviously not positioned correctly so the deadbolt slider was always hitting the bottom of the strike plate. This replacement strike plate uses the same screw holes as my original one, but the hole is now large enough that the electronic deadbolt easily slides in with no resistance!

Great fit for my new front door electronic lock on my old front door. With this strike plate (one thinner side), the dead bolt operates smoothly whereas it didn't with a conventional strike plate.

We were having issues with temperature changes to our front door it would bind the smart lock striker. If we pulled the door slightly it would work without issue, but our nighttime routine to 'lock the door would sometimes fail, but once the plate was changed, all issues disappeared.
