It smells great like when you get an aromatherapy massage. I use it only at night and rub it in to the brow gently for a minute or so. I also (not related but helpful) exfoliate the brow area (again gently) and I think that helps growth. My brows are coming in much better and faster than the other product I used. I liked the other one but his one is better by far.
