But arthritis in my neck is severely aggravated by the weight of the camera resting on the back of my neck. I also just replaced my OEM kit lens with a Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 lens which almost doubles the weight of the camera/lens combo. The shoulder sling is much more forgiving to my neck and the ability to grab the camera and almost instantly slide it into shooting position is really great. It is especially helpful when you need both hands free and need to lean over. The camera no longer dangles from your neck, swinging into anything in front of you, like a rock if you're rock scrambling. Some people have said the included safety tether is too short and it might be IF you have the tether attached to the tripod socket of a long telephoto lens instead of the camera's socket. However, I've found it to be perfectly sized to fit my Sony A6300 and Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 lens. It's not as heavy duty as some others you pay extra for, but it gets the job done well and is included with the strap. The camera strap is really comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Its wide enough that it doesn't fell like its cutting into your neck. Because it goes over the shoulder, you can wear it on either side. I used it while traveling and it was a great experience. The camera attachment has a piece that allows the camera to rotate without coming undone. It also includes a safety strap that goes to the hook on the strap, which makes sure you wont drop your camera if the mount comes undone. I have not had any issues with it coming undone on its own. The way it sits on your shoulder makes it easy to walk around as you can tighten it to hug your side or even rotate it a bit so its a bit behind you. The strap even has a zipper on the shoulder pad for storing some small items like extra memory cards or even some cash or a credit card. Great product and quality. It does not feel cheaply made at all. I hope to try out some more BLACKRAPID items in the future.
