Possibly one of the greatest funk drumming books out, The Code of Funk is really detailed, it has one or two pages before each song, where Garibaldi has broken down each section of the song into the main groove, he also explains how to play it accurately and a bit of context about the groove and the song as a whole. The provided audio CD gives a drumless track which has very good audio quality and can be imported and used on an mp3 player while playing. Also provided are two more disks, a loop disk and an individual voice breakdown which can be used on virtually any DAW software and can be sped up or slowed down without casing distortion - a very helpful feature. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to fine tune their funk chops as it has everything a drummer needs to learn and master several funk techniques. 5 stars all the way!!
